🎃🌾 Entries for the 2026 Scarecrow Festival are now OPEN!

It's time to start dreaming up your scarecrow creation and join in one of our community's most loved annual events!

We encourage schools, kindergartens, early childhood centres, clubs, families, and individuals to get involved. Whether you're creating as a class, a community group, or on your own, this is a wonderful opportunity to showcase your creativity, have some fun, and be part of a fantastic community celebration.

A new whimsical creation has arrived at Hamilton Gardens. 🧚‍♀️🍄
Come along this Saturday to the unveiling of the Garden Shed, a fantasy-inspired artwork filled with tiny fairy homes, magical details, and stories of the Beyond Lands by ceramic artist, Wilhelmiina Drummond.

Celebrate with us on Saturday 28 February at 10am.

Enjoy face painting, bubbles, a live reading of the Garden Shed story, and children’s activities suitable for tamariki under 6.

Ticketed show 'Dr Hubble's Brilliant Bubbles' will follow as part of the Hamilton Arts Festival.

The event is FREE to attend, but entry into the Gardens is required for over 16 yo.
