Goals for Good 2026 - We need your support! 🫵

Planning is well underway for this year’s Goals for Good event, and while we’re keeping a few details under wraps for now, we can promise there’ll be plenty of football, fun and an incredible cause behind it all!

Right now, we’re on the lookout for 👀

Football Kit Sponsors: If your business would like to sponsor a team’s playing kit, we’d love to hear from you. It’s a great opportunity to support the event while getting your brand in front of players, supporters and the wider community.

We’ve attached photos of the kits from last year’s event so you can see what the front of shirt sponsorship looks like 🔥

Raffle & LIVE Auction donations: We’re also seeking quality prizes for our raffle and LIVE auction. Whether it’s a voucher, experience, product, service, accommodation or something unique, every donation helps us raise more funds for a great cause.

Ford Football Ferns Meet’n’Greet ⚽️

What a special experience for Dani and our auction winner Graeme Blake, who brought along his twin girls – huge fans of the Ferns!

The girls had the chance to meet their idols on Saturday ahead of their semi-final qualifier vs Fiji, with plenty of smiles, photos, and memories made.

An unforgettable moment for everyone involved!

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who was part of the Goals for Good Fundraising Quiz back in March in support of Dani Seiga ❤️

We’re incredibly proud to share that we raised $5,360 on the night, which has been given to Dani to help towards the surgery she needs in Germany.

It was a fantastic evening and wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing effort from everyone involved - from the organisers to all the teams who came along and made it such a great night.

A special mention to Rod de Lisle for leading the charge and making sure everything ran smoothly, and a big thank you to Fergus Bar and Kitchen for doing an awesome job hosting! 👏🏼

Our Quiz Night supporting Dani Seiga is nearly here! With all tables filled, we’re set for a packed house and fantastic atmosphere! 🤩

This night is about helping Dani access the life-changing treatment she needs. Every person, every auction bid, and every bit of support makes a real difference.

GOALS FOR GOOD – QUIZ NIGHT FUNDRAISER! ❤️💙

We’re coming together for a great night of trivia, laughs, and community spirit, all to help make a life-changing difference for one of our own.

We’re raising funds for Dani Seiga, a gifted goalkeeper from Northern United and dedicated karate student from Hamilton.

At just 15, Dani has been diagnosed with abdominal vascular compressions (AVCS), a rare and debilitating condition. She also lives with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), which causes tissue fragility and further complications.

AVCS prevents Dani from eating without severe pain, leading to extreme weight loss and reliance on a feeding tube. Unfortunately, the life-changing surgery she needs isn’t available here in New Zealand and her family is working to raise the massive $200,000 bill to access specialist treatment in Germany.

Now we’re asking our community to rally behind her!

What an UNFORGETTABLE DAY! ❤️

The Waikato and BOP football community came together in a way that truly showed the power of people uniting for a cause!

Thanks to the incredible efforts of everyone involved - players, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters, we’re proud to share that $18,000 was raised and will be shared equally between Johnny and Rachel. These funds will make a real difference for two very special individuals.

We’re beyond grateful to every single person who helped bring this event to life 🙌🏼

And this is just the beginning… keep an eye out for future Goals for Good initiatives!

THAT'S A WRAP FOR 2025! 👏🏻

What an incredible day! Goals for Good 2025 was nothing short of special, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the countless people who came together to make it happen.

To our amazing organisers and tireless volunteers - your dedication, energy, and hard work behind the scenes ensured everything ran smoothly from start to finish. To our generous sponsors - thank you for backing this event and giving it the support it needed to shine. To every single player who pulled on a shirt - you brought the passion, the entertainment, and the heart that made the football unforgettable. A MASSIVE THANK YOU goes to Jim and Megan, who were busy in the kitchen all day serving up delicious food for players and everyone to enjoy! Amazing work, your efforts didn’t go unnoticed! To Patrick Woodlock and his band ‘Louder Louder’, a big thank you for turning it on with the bangers and keeping the vibes flowing throughout the evening! And of course, to everyone who came down to cheer, laugh, and show their support - you are the reason this event had the energy and community spirit it did!

A very special thank you goes to Hamilton Wanderers FC - Blue Army for hosting us at Porritt Stadium. The facilities, pitch, and staff were absolutely outstanding, and we couldn’t have asked for a better home for this event 💙
