🏵️EXTRAVAGANZA IN THE PARK 2026🏵️

Lock in the date tentatively everyone!

Tentatively we are looking at holding our Annual Extravaganza in the Park on Sat 5th Dec 2026 Elliott Park Hamilton if we get enough volunteers for the event.

We will be making a final decision in the second week of June 2026 if this will go ahead.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR THE FOLLOWING:
🏵️ Mark out the field & carpark the day before the event
🏵️ Volunteers to assist with field parking on the day of the event
🏵️ Volunteers to put signs out on the morning of the event
🏵️ Volunteers to setup tables/chairs at the event and assist with
morning setup and packdown

The event is now to big for 1 person to manage. So if you want to see this happen this year and make it 13years of this annual event then get on board and be apart of our team.

REGARDING EXTRAVAGANZA IN THE PARK - For the event to happen in December 2026

What started as a 1 off Christmas event, 11 years later has become a well known Annual Christmas Event of Like Minded Artisan, Crafters, Entertainers that grew from 50 to about 130+ stalls every year held at Elliott Park, Nawton Hamilton.

Extravaganza in the Park has become well known annually for the event with stallholders attending from all across parts of the North island. The event has always been a community event at grassroots in which we have never wanted to make it an corporate event.

As the event has grown to big now Aaron Woolley, Event Coordinator who has coordinated this for the past 11years alone, has done all the background planning, preparation, bookings, event management and can no longer do this alone. We have appreciated support over the years from Western Community Centre.

So for this event to be held this year in December 2026 we need your help people!

* We need people to help before the event with things like marking out the grounds with stall numbers and painting up some advertising boards, and putting up.

* We need people on the day to do things like setup the stage, help people with unloading their vehicles, coordinate parking, rubbish management on the day, help take down gazebos and clean up at the end of the event.

* There are a multitude of tasks to be dealt with before and during the event. It needs a dedicated team to put on an event of this size and quality.

* We are looking for community groups, school groups, sports groups, volunteers, community like minded people who are keen to get involved and see this event happen in December then we would like to hear from you. We are happy to discuss looking at a free site for stallholders on the day and discussing with community groups who may be keen to fundraise in swap for tasks and roles at the event.

Must be reliable, have good time management, can follow through with your word and help bring our community together
Many hands make light work.

Once we gauge enough interest we plan to hold a planning meeting within the next 3-4weeks time.
