Kia ora Whanau
We have received a few queries regarding the Teachers' Games, and it is with much sadness, that School Sport New Zealand will not be delivering the Teachers' Games in the future. We want to say a huge thank you to our sport organisers who have partnered with us over the five years to create a fun, inclusive and at times very competitive environment. The games had four fun filled years at the Mount and a year in Dunedin to mix it up. We would also like to say a big thank you to Sport BOP, OSSSA, University and Tertiary Sport NZ (Tiwai Wilson) and the Regional Sports Directors across the motu who helped out. Your enthusiasm skills and time were very much appreciated. We would not have been able to run the games without you. Lastly, thank you to everyone who attended the games and especially those who came to every one of the Teachers' Games over the five years. Amazing dedication! We loved your enthusiasm, your costumes, your unusual team names, your skills, your dancing, your singing, your suggestions and your energy.
Keep up the great mahi you are doing for your rangatahi and tamariki in sport. We know that you all understand the value of sport to education as well as the health benefits for young people.
All the best for your future endeavours,, and thanks again for the support you have given to this event. We will miss seeing you.
