Otago Community Hospice Charity Cruise & Car Show

Otago Community Hospice Charity Cruise & Car Show A car show, then an afternoon cruise - with ALL money raised going to the Hospice. www.southernskylines.com/charitycruise Open to motorbikes as of 2013.

The aim of this event is to raise money for the hospice by asking each driver and passenger to pay a minimum $5 to enter a car show and cruise to take place in Dunedin in November each year, on the closest Sunday to the 20th. It is open to all exotic cars, muscle cars, classic cars, modified cars (if your car only has minor changes like aftermarket wheels, body kit or something not factory spec/co

mmon then you can enter your car too!) and anything that will turn heads. Basically, if people will look at it then it's welcome to come along! Excellent chance to bring out those very rare/unique automobiles! But if you have a nice car too, we'd appreciate it if you could find a way for it to get to the event as well! The best form of advertising is word of mouth, so please tell everyone you know who could be interested in this - it is for an excellent cause after all! In 2010's inaugural event we raised $2,235.50 for the hospice with just 155 cars on a wet day. In 2011's even wetter event we raised $1,401.90 with 75+ cars.
2012 was once again wet, but we had 137+ cars and raised $2,730.00!
2013 was another best year, with 188 cars and motorbikes turning up for yet another not-so-great-day weather wise, but we raised $3,655.70!
2014 topped that though, with an official car/bike count of 199 (so close!!), and $3,678 raised all up. Continuing the trend, 2015 was again the best year yet, $5,100 raised and 245 cars and motorbikes on display!

Hi there fellow car enthusiasts. On May 16th at 1pm there is a protest in the Octagon, raising awareness to the govt that enough is enough. Fuel taxes are crippling our society so nationwide people are standing up. This is a peaceful protest, make up a sign and see you there.

2 weeks to go fans, very excited, very nervous, but it will be a great day. Cars, food, music, face painting, Pirates facilities, raffles, Frostees Mini golf and Ocean Beach Railway across the road to add a few more family options. A very enjoyable way to help support our Hospice. Gates open 9am.
