Looking down the barrel of a King's birthday weekend with no Dunedin Swing festival! 😮 Thinking about all the years gone by and missing our friends... but enjoying a rest.😴
I wonder what next year will bring...

What an amazing weekend!
We’re still buzzing from the joy of bringing everyone together for Dunedin Swing Festival 2025.

A huge thank you to our funding sponsors: Aratoiotepotitepoti Creative Communities Scheme and Otago Community Trust – your support makes it possible to keep this event affordable and accessible for all.

To Riot, Dunedin, our mothership – thank you for backing our wild ideas and trusting us to dream big.

To our venues:
North East Valley Bowling Club, Sacred Heart School (Nga Maara), Valley Baptist Community Centre, Errick's Venue Dunedin, Toitū Otago Settlers Museum, Sargood Centre, and Te Whare o Rukutia– thank you for hosting us so generously.

To our incredible bands:
Skin & Bone, Whirling Eddys, Dunedin City Jazz Orchestra, Rinky Tinkies, Jessie Gordon, and Handy Andy & the Toilet Cleaners – you lit up the floor and kept those sore feet dancing.

The teachers:
Ramona Staffeld, Miyako Miyazaki, Evan Hughes, Jessie James Gordon, John & Julia Wharington , and Coco Young
What a line up! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and all the dances on the social floor.

To the community – that’s you:
Everyone who bought a ticket, travelled to be here, danced their socks off, volunteered officially (or unofficially by picking up a chair, helping us tidy etc!) – thank you
