Did you know that reading for just a few minutes can lower your heart rate and ease muscle tension. Studies show it reduces stress by up to 68% faster than listening to music or taking a walk, BUT what about writing the books? You can ask that question of three authors Naomi Arnold, Hannah Bulloch and Andrew Penniket who are joining us at the Bannockburn Bowling Club on Sat 17th Oct, 9am to midday. Tickets available from our website https://www.bannockburnarts.co.nz or click on the ticket link https://beyond-the-horizon.lilregie.com

At World’s Edge is coming to the Bannockburn Coronation Hall on the 10th October. The grand piano will be in the middle of the Hall and with the acoustics in the hall, they will be stunning shows. Don’t miss it.

What an opening weekend in Wānaka. Thank you to everyone who joined us for Crossed and Between.

Tonight we're at Te Atamira in Queenstown for Strung, with David Fung, Matthew Lipman and our Pettman Scholars. Only a few seats left.

Read our latest newsletter for Scholar Spotlights, RNZ Concert interviews with Matthew Lipman and Marike Kruup, and what's still to come - https://mailchi.mp/worldsedgefestival/from-wanaka-to-queenstown

The Bannockburn Coronation Hall has had a few makeovers over the years and on Sat 17th and Sun 18th October from 10am to 3pm, the inside of the Church and Hall will be transformed by art from our local artists and three guest artists. Sculptures representing a congregation will lead the way to the Church where award winning artist Odelle Morshius is creating an installation called ‘The Sewing Circle’. Making your way to the Hall, you will be greeted with ceramics, paintings, photography, cast bronze sculptures, handmade guitars and fine art tote bags. That’s worth a visit surely. A koha event, see you there.
