Day Three Results -

Shore School vs Canberra Grammar

A day in which 17 wickets fell and 155 total runs scored it was an early finish for both teams. The one day was a nice change up for the Australian head to head as shore were put into bat and the rewards of this decision were felt throughout the first innings as shore were not able to occupy the crease long enough to sustain partnerships and therefore were bowled out for 77. A small total yet the Shore boys came out firing managing to rattle through the top order but in the end, a cool-headed lower order got Grammar through with the win and claim bragging rights about who is the best Australian cricketing school at the tournament. canberra Grammar won the game by 3 wickets.

Late Post - Day Two Results

Day Two saw the conclusion of both games with results varying.

Kings College vs Canberra Grammar

The day began with Grammar in a comfortable position, they continued to build a lead until they reached a total of 305. Lachie Pedley made King's response short-lived as he took four wickets for nine runs in the second innings and apart from a fighting 63 from Angus Jones King's wickets constantly fell. Unfortunately, Angus's heroics were not enough as Kings fell short and lost by one inning, unsure by how many runs.

Christ's vs Shore

Day two of this game saw Shore in a sticky situation in the morning session but from some great application from Tom Marytn who made Christ's bowlers and fieldsmen pay after an untidy session. After the drinks break the college boys came out firing and took the remaining wickets and eventually Marytn's who fell short of a hundred only by 15 runs but none the less a great innings in challenging circumstances. Shore fell short of the run chase by 25 runs. Shore Captain Baliey "Bails" Baliey came out firing darting in the ball to claim four wickets to limit the college batsmen to 176 to win. Stand out performances with the bat came from Thomas Graham who managed to score a quickfire 61 at the bottom end of the order to set a competitive total. Although they took early wickets Christ's bowling in the last session was not consistent enough to sustain long periods of pressure which meant that shore batsmen were able to rotate and steadily chase down the total. Shore won by 4 wickets but none the less a great game of cricket.
