Some exciting things are happening at The Substation before we welcome in 2023
Thurs 22nd Sept - are hosting a wine tasting event. Open to all of our current and future beverage package customers who might like to try before they buy RSVP - all links are in our stories & highlights
Thurs 29th Sept - are returning with their successful NZ tour. Latin guitar, burlesque from and support act . We cannot stress enough how much you do not want to miss this! Oh and delicious Mexican food by
Fri 7th Oct - are bringing their Silent Movies LIVE to the South Island for the first time ever. Two Charlie Chaplin movies with live instrumental soundtracks. Hot popcorn, lollies, wine and beer all within our historic location
Fri 25th Nov - are going to make The Substation ROCK with their electronic rock music taking inspiration from Nirvana, Chase and Status and Pendulum. Supporting is .temples who are going to keep the energy throughout the night. Food by and drinks by us will make sure this show keeps on keeping on
Fri 9th Dec - are doing what our 'Rave Room' is made for...partying HARD! Full sound system and visuals while International and NZ DJ's like .barka.beats will be treating you to a MASSIVE night of eclectic mixes

WOW!

What an absolutely incredible evening and event the MF Fashion Show was at The Substation! What's even better is the amount this event has raised for Ronald McDonald House South Island.

So much work went on behind the scenes, on the day and during the night that contributed to this Fashion Show being so successful. Thank you to all whose involvement made this a reality and congratulations because all of your hard work was definitely worth it!

The Fashion Show just so happens to be the first time we've hosted an event like this inside our industrial doors. Thank you Maree, for having the vision, drive and determination to make this event happen in our historic location.

THE WEDDING CRASHERS ANNOUNCEMENT: Unfortunately, The Wedding Crashers and Planning Project events will be postponed until a later date next year.

It's best to be upfront with you all and to admit that we had set out a high minimum number of ticket sales that has not been reached. If we were still to go ahead, we fear that the quality of The Wedding Crashers event would be underwhelming. We really do apologize for any & all inconvenience this will cause for your upcoming weekend plans and we'll be in contact with everyone who has purchased a ticket regarding a postponement or refund.

It's not very often that you can get away with 'crashing' people's weddings, so we thought we would let ya break some rules, to see how we do it our way.

After enjoying our complimentary cocktail and canapés on arrival, we will start things off with The Game Plan workshop, with the lovely duo from The Planning Project (info same as above). Then, enjoy a mouth-watering, slow-smoked feast, made with locally sourced produce, followed by a variety of delicious desserts.
