New to the Spring Fling this year, Shed Shenanigans: The Bi***es' Box

Get ready for a night of big laughs and great food. Set in the iconic shearing shed at the Central Hawke’s Bay Showgrounds, this high-energy comedy event features acclaimed performers Emma Newborn and Amelia Dunbar from The Bi***es’ Box.

Expect bold characters, sharp wit, and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments as live entertainment unfolds. Food available to purchase, a csh bar, and a buzzing atmosphere, it’s the perfect spring night out.

Gwavas Homestead Tour is back!

One of Spring Fling’s most popular events returns, offering a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich history of Gwavas Homestead, its heritage gardens, and the ancient Puahanui Bush alongside fifth-generation owners Phyllida and Stuart Gibson.

Start the day with morning tea on the verandah before exploring 132 hectares of protected native bush, home to magnificent tōtara, kahikatea and mataī trees that have stood for more than 600 years. After a leisurely lunch, enjoy a guided tour of the historic homestead before wandering through the stunning nine-hectare woodland garden, bursting with the colours and scents of spring.
A day of heritage, nature and local stories, this is an experience not to be missed.
