💫 What an incredible weekend at the very first Cambridge Chamber Music Festival!

A heartfelt thank you to the Cambridge Town Hall for being our home and partner throughout the festival, to Simon Brew for his support and collaboration, to the wonderful staff at Cambridge Town Hall, our Givealittle supporters, Orchestras Central, and the Waipā District Council.

Thank you to all our festival artists - Jessica, Ken, Amanda, Todd, Wilma, Matthias, Laurence and guest artists Aziel and Simon for their commitment and beautiful performances!

And of course, thank you to our incredible community and audiences for joining us across all three concerts.

✨ What a wonderful way to conclude the Cambridge Chamber Music Festival!

Sunday morning’s family concert was enriching — educational, engaging, and full of energy. Featuring the fabulous Jessica Oddie, Amanda Verner, Ken Ichinose, Aziel Verner, and Todd Gibson-Cornish, the program invited listeners of all ages on a musical journey, discovering and enjoying music spanning from Hildegard and Bach to Marsalis and Whitehead. 🎻🌍

🎶 Last night’s concert brought together the incredible Argyle Trio, comprised of Wilma Smith, Matthias Balzat, and Laurence Matheson, with our festival artists Jessica Oddie, Ken Ichinose, Amanda Verner, and Todd Gibson-Cornish, for an unforgettable evening of chamber music.

🎹 The programme featured some of the most iconic and moving works in the chamber music repertoire, including Mozart, Mendelssohn, and Schumann, before the night came to a beautiful close with a special performance of Elgar’s Romance, a collaboration that perfectly captured the spirit of the festival.

💫 It was a truly memorable night of artistry and connection — thank you so much to everyone who joined us on stage and in the audience.

Join us on Friday 26 September at Cambridge Town Hall as we open the festival with a unique evening of powerful classical music—with a drink in hand—in a casual, welcoming atmosphere.

Experience four vibrant sets spanning Bach, Mozart, and Schubert through to Penderecki, Marsalis, and Whitehead, presented in a dynamic, unexpected setting where the audience intermingles with the musicians, fully immersing themselves in the performance.

The night also features a special collaboration with talented local string players from the Waikato region, performing Karl Jenkins’ exhilarating Palladio.
Sip, savour, and enjoy an unforgettable journey through classical, contemporary, and jazz-inspired works—there’s truly something for every musical taste.
