I choose to believe the RH's initiative has had a positive influence on highlighting other aspects to our Sport, and has increased Hunter Trials popularity throughout the country.
Many Hunts have Hunter Trials open to members and non members and it is evident by Hunts social media posts that Sponsorship and participation is positive.( Just ask Zara Mcdonald 🏆🏆🏆🏆)

We recognise that not every Hunter is interested in the competitive side, which is also peppered with good fun and comradery.
However for those that do, we are back to having a national platform to be NZ's best.

It is acknowledged that this event is not associated or run by the NZHA, therefore, as we advised at the outset, our NZ Hunts Hunter Trials cannot be given the official title of the"National Hunter Trials"

I hope this wonderful event for the Hunts of NZ continues on its journey into the future with enthusiasm and support.

AND remember, the aim at the outset was this event travels around the country , so if any Hunt wishes to Host please contact the Rangitikei Hunt.

Here are some photos that were taken at presentation on the day. We had a beautiful area set up for mounted photos , however in life we always need a Plan B and that was the order of the day.

Here we are, the eve of the New Zealand Hunts Hunter Trials, and it was a big day today as 5 months of planning came together.

We have some very special mentions, cos we know things don't always go to plan and today was one of them.
Huge, Huge, thanks to HIRE POOL FEILDING, who came to our rescue when our tent did not eventuate, at the last minute.
Not only did Hire Pool, Feilding provided us with the toilets but also personally delivered us a much needed tent for GRATIS. We cannot thank Hire Pool Feilding enough. Megan Lozell. Secondly to Lindy Horrocks who also went into action and provided and organized delivery of the Siver Hope Marquee. Thank you so much Lindy.
Thank you to the efforts of the Rangitikei Hunt Members and non Hunt Members who have worked, worked, worked in the preparation to make this day happen. All 5 courses look amazing.

All riders, please collect your back numbers from the marquee in the morning.
Remember we kick off at 9am sharp and due to numbers in the Derby classes we will need to keep you moving.
Therefore, the Derby classes will be run in draw order, please do your best to stick to your draw.
The Hunter classes will be blackboard order, which gives some wriggle room for those riding in both the Championship Hunter classes and the Derby.

To the competitors, thank you for your support .
The NZ Hunts Hunter Trials has been initiated to give the Hunts in New Zealand an opportunity to align with other equestrian disciplines by having our own national platform to compete for Championship Titles.
