Full and half day garden tours encompass everything from compact designer gardens in the heart of town to breath-taking country estates. Workshops provide the opportunity to brush up on skills and horticultural knowledge with experts from New Zealand and overseas. The always popular Garden Party on the Saturday night is a chance to sip and mingle with speakers, guests and like-minded enthusiasts. On Sunday is the STIHL Shop Garden Fête, entertainment for the whole family, over 200 stalls offering the best from New Zealand and a chance to kick off Christmas shopping. With the stunning Marlborough Sounds on its doorstep, rugged mountain ranges, fertile plains and world class Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough has a lot to offer – so stay for the whole weekend, or longer!

Join us for our iconic East Coast Garden Tour, a full-day journey through some of Marlborough’s most distinctive and beautiful gardens.

Returning this year is Paripuma, where formal lines, native planting and a beautiful perennial garden frame sweeping views across Te Koko-o-Kupe / Cloudy Bay. From there, discover the country charm of Altimarloch, the romance and structure of Barewood, and the exceptional design and coastal views of Winterhome.

Enjoy morning and afternoon tea in the gardens, with a delicious lunch at the Kekerengu Store along the way. A relaxed day of beautiful gardens, great food and spectacular East Coast scenery.

Since 1978, Dr Peter Sergel has been the driving force behind this extraordinary place, creating a series of immersive themed gardens that explore major turning points in human history and the different ways people across cultures and civilisations have viewed the world.

Wander through Hortensia House, a romantic garden echoing the charm and character of Monet’s garden at Giverny. Discover the abundant native landscape of Sally and Tim Wadsworth, the ever-elegant Westgrove, and Dukeland, where sweeping grounds meet dramatic views. The tour also includes new garden Pukatea, a striking coastal native oasis making its Garden Marlborough debut.
