Two Bristol Fighters at Classic Fighters 2027? Yes, you read that right!

We're excited to announce that NZ Warbirds Association Inc will bring their Bristol F.2B Fighter down from Ardmore to join our Omaka-based Bristol Fighter in the skies this Easter!

And it won't be travelling alone! An ex-RNZAF Auster will be accompanying it, adding another historic aircraft to our RNZAF 90th anniversary celebrations.

Two Bristols, some fascinating aviation history and another reason to be at Omaka this Easter!

The Yak-7B flew out of Omaka today and has landed at its new home at Tauranga. Has been great seeing this machine flying around over Omaka over the past few months following restoration by JEM Aviation Ltd. Yes we will all miss it but don't worry it will be back soon enough to perform at Classic Fighters 2027.

The stunning Lockheed 10 based at Omaka came out of its winter hibernation a couple of weeks ago for some engine runs as seen here, and today it was up flying again. This will be flying at Classic Fighters 2027, it is one machine you really have to see to believe. You can learn more about this aircraft and airshow at the link below.

A very rare viewpoint of three Yak fighters that will display at Classic Marlborough Lines Classic Fighters Omaka in 2027. Leading is a Yak-7B followed by a Yak-3M and finally a Yak-3U so be there if you can!

Congratulations to Nick Rowe who flew the Yak-7B from the front seat at Omaka today, was his first time flying WW2 era fighter, a huge achievement!

It's official! Yak-7B "Liberte" is set to make its Classic Fighters debut in 2027, joining Fighter Flights Yak3M "Full Noise", Yak-3U " Steadfast" and the returning Yak-52 aerobatic team. Now that's entertainment!

Great to see the freshly overhauled R2800 radial back on the magnificent Corsair owned by Mike Jones. It takes a lot of resource and passion to keep a machine like this flying so thank you Mike! Still a way to go with the engine installation as its a complicated and time consuming job but all going well you will get to see this aircraft flying over Easter weekend (March 26-28) at Classic Fighters 2027 as we help celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the RNZAF.
