🎉 97% PASS RATE – NOW CALLING REGISTRATIONS FOR OUR NEXT LEARNER LICENCE DAY! 🚗💨

Kia ora e te hāpori,

Last Thursday we held our Learner Licence Wānanga Day and what a day it was! 🎉

We had 37 people attend our teaching session, with 36 successfully passing their Learner Licence test on the day. That's a 97% pass rate! Ka mau te wehi to everyone who took part, and a special shout-out to the one learner still on the journey — we'll get you over the line at our next session. 💪

📅 Next up: Learner Licence Test-Only Day Thursday 6th August

This is a test-only day, where you can come along and sit your Learner Licence test. We'll also have learning activities available before testing for those wanting to brush up on their knowledge.

Not quite ready to test? Kei te pai! Our kaiārahi will be available to provide one-on-one support and help prepare you for a later test session. If you think you'll need a bit of extra support, we recommend attending the morning session (9am–12pm).

⚠️ Important: Bring the correct ID To sit your test, you must bring your original identification documents with you.

✅ A current NZ Passport is all you'll need.
📄 If you don't have a NZ Passport, additional identification documents will be required. Please check the ID guide attached to this post to make sure you have everything you need.

📧 To register, email: [email protected]

If you'd prefer a full teaching session before testing, our next One-Day Learner Licence Wānanga is booked for Thursday 20th August.

⭐We are still buzzing from our Matariki celebrations at the pa⭐

One of our favs was the Te Ara Rama Light Trail Opening Night, our Ngā Raukura a Parehuia Fundraising Stalls & our very own 'Matariki on the Mahau'.

Didnt Ruapōtaka Marae look amazing all lit up with performances in front of our whare, Awhina Tangata?

Amoungst all that, our Raukura also had a Matariki performance at Assure Quality Lab in Blockhouse Bay.

Here are some of our fav shots from that week. Stay tuned as we share more of our Matariki celebrations we had this year ✨

Kia ora e te Hāpori,

Tonight is the final night of the Te Ara Rama Light Trail, whānau!

If you're heading down, please note the following road closures:
🚧 Taniwha Street will be closed from Heatherbank Street to Line Road from 5.30pm.
🚧 Line Road will also be closed this year, from Taniwha Street to Maybury Street.

It's shaping up to be a huge night for our hāpori , with:
🍔 16 food stalls in the Line Road car park
🚚 7 food trucks along Taniwha Street
🎆 A spectacular fireworks finale at 9.00pm

Our rangatahi will once again be fundraising by selling their popular:
✨ Light-Up Saber Swords $6
✨ Flashing Wands $5
✨ Flashing Star Necklaces $4
🥤 Cans of drink for $2 & Water Bottles for $1
🍭 Candy floss for $8
Please support our rangatahi rōpū, Ngā Raukura a Parehuia, if you're able. Every purchase helps and is greatly appreciated.

🎤 Te Oro Stage will be running inside Te Oro from 6.00pm, featuring performances throughout the evening. Local rōpū Te Uku Tōia, fresh from their strong showing representing G.I at the Tāmaki Makaurau Regionals, will close the stage with the final performance at 8.30pm.

Be sure to head into the Glen Innes Community Centre, where Ngāti Pāoa and their Ki Tua o Matariki team will be hosting a range of fun activities and activations for our tamariki and whānau throughout the night.

We encourage everyone to come along and support our rangatahi, Te Uku Tōia, and all the fantastic activities inside the Community Centre and around the trail.

We look forward to seeing you there for an amazing final night of Te Ara Rama, and celebrating Mātariki!

Ngā mihi nui. 🌟✨
