On behalf of NJPW TAMASHII and the NZ Dojo, we extend our appreciation to everyone who helped make FIRST REIGN a success on Saturday night in Ōtāhuhu, Auckland.
To our fans, families and supporters who joined us, thank you for being part of a historic occasion in TAMASHII history as Don Fale became our inaugural Openweight Champion.
Our thanks go to all our wrestlers, staff and crew who worked behind the scenes, with special appreciation to Graham Hughes for his work on event production.
We were honoured to welcome senior members of the Taogaga family of the late Samoan wrestling pioneer Siva Afi, including Tuli Taogaga, who travelled from Samoa for the championship presentation, alongside the Tohi family, represented by Cecilia Tohi on behalf of her brother, Tongan wrestling legend King Haku. Both families took part in the presentation of the inaugural NJPW TAMASHII Openweight Championship.
Our appreciation also goes to recording artist and singer-songwriter Tara Aumalesulu for opening FIRST REIGN with the New Zealand national anthem, and DJ Spyce for providing the soundtrack throughout the evening.
We extend our gratitude to the Otahuhu Business Association for its support, and to Kathryn leGrove and the Otahuhu Historical Society for sharing the area's rich wrestling history with us. It was a pleasure to welcome representatives of both organisations to FIRST REIGN.
Since its launch in 2022, NJPW TAMASHII has worked to establish New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Strong Style and the Fighting Spirit of the South Pacific across Oceania. With the crowning of our inaugural Openweight Champion at FIRST REIGN, we have taken another major step towards our vision, with much more still to come.
Thank you for your support.
