Downforce is proud to have hosted New Zealand’s first-ever all-Range Rover Sport track day—an adrenaline-fueled showcase of the most capable fleet ever assembled in the country.

Our guests, including media and owners, didn’t just drive; they explored the absolute limits of the New Range Rover Sport lineup. Whether it was the raw, visceral power of the New Range Rover Sport SV on the circuit, mastering high-stakes dynamic exercises, or navigating technical off-road terrain, the versatility was unmatched.

Along with the world-class machinery, our participants were guided by the best in the business: globally trained instructors dedicated to refining every turn and every climb.

This wasn’t just a track day. It was a masterclass in performance.

Precision on show: Downforce x The Ayrburn Classic

What a weekend at the The Ayrburn Classic. Our team was proud to work closely with the crew to support the seamless logistics of this world-class event.
While we were on hand to assist with exhibitor check-ins and the intricate movement of priceless show cars, our primary focus was delivering three high-octane driving activations across the weekend:

* The Tour d’Elegance: A spectacular sight as we led a curated convoy of 30+ supercars and classics through a drive of the local sights and the iconic Coronet Peak.

* Ferrari Test Drives: Delivering a premium driving experience for customers to explore the new models of the Prancing horse.

* The Armstrong’s Wellington Defender Experience: Showcasing the Defender’s legendary capability in the natural Arrowtown element for the team.

From the grounds to rivers and the open road, it was a privilege to help deliver a growth in the Ayrburn Classic in its second year. A huge thank you to the Ayrburn team for having us on board to help keep things moving.

Representing , Richard competed in the Trofeo Pirelli 488 class on his first-ever visit to the Mountain and delivered an exceptional debut performance. He secured pole position for both races and converted this into two race victories, while also competing strongly alongside the faster Trofeo Pirelli field in the Ferrari 296 machinery.

An impressive result at one of the world’s most iconic circuits. Congratulations to Richard and the entire team on a superb weekend of racing.

Also a big well done to one of our long term clients on a superb performance and overall win in the 296 class.

Putting the New MY26 Defender to the Test.

Last week, we were proud to deliver the official New Zealand launch experience for the MY26 Defender alongside , bringing together media and dealer partners for an unforgettable off-road showcase in Taupō.

Developing a drive across natural terrain that created technical obstacles, we allowed the Defender to prove exactly why it remains one of the most capable 4x4s on the planet. Guests experienced first-hand how effortlessly it adapts to challenging terrain and everyday roads, highlighting the refinement and capability built into the new model.

The event was led by Downforce’s globally trained team of specialist off-road instructors, who deliver Defender experiences around the world. Their expertise ensures every participant not only understands the technology and capability of the Defender, but learns how to unlock its full potential safely and confidently.

We’re proud to continue introducing each generation of the Defender line-up to New Zealand and to help people experience the iconic brand in its natural environment — off the beaten track or on the road.
