It would have been the 106th running and for the second time in its long history there was insufficient horses to hold it 😢

🎀 Mother's Day Open Day: Fun for Kids, Relaxation for Mum! 🐎🤸‍♀️

The ideal day out where everyone wins. While the kids jump, climb, flip and have a blast in our fully equipped gym, mums can sit back, relax and enjoy the excitement of the live horse racing right on site at the Ashburton Racecourse

Whether you want to cheer on the horses or simply enjoy a peaceful moment with a coffee, this is the perfect chance to treat yourself while the little ones burn off energy in a safe, fun environment.

More details of the Mother's Day Meeting

The Club is hoping that a number of mother's come along to have a relaxing day all the while looked after by their families.
To acknowledge the importance of the day, the Club will give each mother a free drink voucher to be collected from the office.
There will be a prize draw for jewellry provided by Robilliards Jewellers (Approx $800), plus a couple of other small gifts .The entry form is in the racebook and the completed form placed in a container in the office . The draw will take place after race 8 and needs to be claimed in person from the office, followed by a presentation and photo in the birdcage.

The first race goes at 11.45am with the last of ten down to go at 4.30pm.

The Ashburton Cup at the Ashburton Trotting Club is Sunday 22nd February! Put it in the calendar and come along for a great day of harness racing!

On the go espresso will be there serving great coffee.
Dynamic Gymnastic Sports will be open for the kids to burn off some energy.
Swirly Whirly Icecream Truck will help them cool down with a nice ice cream.
Lolytwist will be there doing the face painting.

Our members prize draw is back to $100 after Ray Swann won the jackpot at our last meeting.
Everyone is welcome upstairs above the office where there is a public bar, or in the open stands, or relaxing on the grass. There is somewhere for everyone!

So grab some family and friends (or even that person who regularly walks past your driveway that you don't know yet!) and bring them down to the Ashburton Trotting Club for a great day out!
