Workshop Facilitator Reveal ๐ข
We are extremely elated to unveil our workshop facilitator of the Local Conference of Youth Nepal, Mr. Shree Kumar Maharjan.
Shree Kumar Maharjan has over 14 years of professional experience in the fields of international development, agriculture and food security, climate change and environment, climate-smart agriculture, human rights and indigenous peoplesโ rights, rural institutions, and rural development in South, Southeast Asia, and East Asia. He has accomplished Ph.D. in International Cooperation Studies from the Graduate School of International Development and Cooperation (IDEC), Hiroshima University. Before his Ph.D., he worked in Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact (AIPP), Chiang Mai, Thailand for 4 years as a Programme Coordinator and later as Deputy Secretary-General and also with multiple National NGOs in Nepal. He belongs to a Newar Indigenous Nationality in Nepal, who started his professional career from local and national levels later extended to the regional and international levels. He has strong motivations to work for the most marginalized and vulnerable communities including the indigenous peoples, ethnic minority groups, persons with disabilities at the national and international levels. In addition, Shree Kumar Maharjan also supports National Indigenous Disabled Women Association Nepal (NIDWAN) as an Advisor to build capacities, promote their rights and recognitions. He has also published multiple papers in reputed journals including climate and development, Development in Practice, Ecology, Environment, and Sustainability.
