With 233 days to go until the next edition of Caerimonia Nidrosiæ, the anticipation is already building. After multiple sold-out editions, this black metal tradition continues stronger than ever; a ceremony for fans, by fans.

Once again, the number of visitors from outside Norway is staggering, with 54% of tickets sold going to fans from abroad. We’re incredibly proud to see this “little festival that could” grow into a true international hub for black metal devotees worldwide. Eternally grateful to every single soul who shows interest and support.

Lastly, several bands affiliated with Terratur Possessions are hard at work on new releases, with the aim of turning the festival into a genuine celebration of new music while delivering the passionate and devoted black metal experience that has defined its four critically acclaimed editions.

MARE will headline Friday next year, one of their few shows planned in the foreseeable future. And who knows, maybe we’ll even get some new material?

Let’s find out. Tickets are selling really fast, but we’re not going to create any fake hype. We still have plenty of tickets left, so grab yours whenever you want. Just keep in mind that the last editions all sold out.

Yesterday’s responses were fantastic, and we sold even more tickets than we dared dream of! Thank you all!

There have been some frequently asked questions, so here are a few reminders and answers for everyone:

• No, there will never be any additional days, extra bands, warm-up shows, or exhibitions. No gold or VIP passes either. There are plenty of other festivals for that! Less is more!

• Yes, some bands keep returning — and rightfully so! This festival is built around the Trondheim and Terratur Possessions circle, which in reality consists of only a handful of bands. This will stay that way until the festival has run its course.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

We welcome you all to the 5th chapter of Caerimonia Nidrosiæ Festival!

THE LINEUP
As usual, the lineup is built around bands from the city and those we have worked with over the years—often connected to the record label Terratur Possessions. This time, we welcome back MARE and WHOREDOM RIFE, two monoliths of Black Metal originating from Trondheim, Nidaros. Another return to the festival is SYN, who debuted at Caerimonia Nidrosiæ two years ago and now comes back with a new record (to be released later this year) under their belt. Trust us—it’s absolutely peak performance all the way.
LVCIFYRE will play their first-ever gig in Norway, and it’s an absolute honor! The band is a titanic live force and will blow us all away, mark my words! The same goes for KRINGA, a tremendous force of nature on stage, delivering wild and possessed Black Metal shows that always turn heads wherever they play. Lastly, THRONE OF KATARSIS, a classic Norwegian Black Metal band, returns to the stage after more than 10 years on hiatus!

THE VENUE
BYSCENEN is one of Trondheim’s oldest and most professional venues, located in the heart of Nidaros. It offers everything you need from opening until closing: food, bars, music, and DJs! The venue is in short walking distance to basically everything in the city, with the Nidaros Cathedral only a 4 minute walk away.
