What a beautiful time it has been. 😍
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who visited us, supported us, and shared both kind words and honest feedback. The constructive voices mean a lot to us and help us grow and improve for future editions of the Christmas Market.🎄

A very special thank you goes to Tromsø Kommune and Tromsø Sentrum for giving us the opportunity to create the Christmas Market in such an important place for the city as Stortorget. For everyone involved, this was a demanding and emotional journey. Day after day we faced true Arctic weather, snow, ice, rain, and strong winds. The wind even claimed the Christmas Ball that many of you loved so much, but seeing you take photos with it against the Tromsø skyline made all the effort worth it.⛄️

As we look ahead, we can already promise that we will continue working to make the market even better in the years to come, more diverse, more thoughtful, and welcoming for everyone.

Thank you once again, and we wish you a peaceful, joyful Christmas filled with warmth, health, and time spent with your loved ones.✨

If you are still craving our non alcoholic gløgg or delicious local food, you can still find us here. While part of the market is being taken down, some stalls will remain open throughout the holiday period.

Yesterday at our Christmas market, something truly magical happened 🎄✨
Santa Claus himself came to visit, spreading joy, smiles, and festive spirit among both children and adults. There were photos, warm conversations, and beautiful moments that will stay with us for a long time ❤️

Today, we want to share a beautiful reflection from one of our exhibitors – a glimpse into life and creativity north of the Arctic Circle.

In the darkness of winter here in the north, you must find activities that keep depression at bay. It’s a myth that every northerner is born with skis on their feet. I’m not. I prefer the silence of long winter nights in my home, far from the city lights.

When I’m outside moving snow, my mind starts creating the next piece of jewelry. I love working with colorful stones and pearls to create beauty. When everything around is black or white, or mostly grey… the colours become even more precious.

And when the moon is out, like it was yesterday, and the cold is deep, the snow sparkles like diamonds in every imaginable shade. I don’t have real diamonds, so I work with freshwater pearls and semi precious stones instead.

Some tourists think I create these pieces for them and ask if I have stones “special for Norway”. Well, we have plenty of grey stones here… they can find those themselves. It only shows how little they know about living north of the Arctic Circle.

Here, you must learn to take pleasure in the dark, cold world around you. People who aren’t used to this often struggle. For many, it’s truly hard.

Jewelry making helps me. It becomes its own form, guided by my intuition. I look for what feels right. I don’t have to make things everyone wants. I create for my own joy and if someone connects with my work, then it’s meant to be. The buyer must feel the energy I’ve put into it, as well as the energy of the stones themselves. Nature has taught us this for centuries.

I’m not Sámi, but I’m a mix of the North Calotte, the same region where the Sámi move their reindeer. I grew up with this land. We are all shaped by Arctic nature. You have to live here to truly understand it.

What an unforgettable afternoon at Stortorget!

A huge thank you to Andre Belibi, official Guinness World Record holder, for his remarkable performance and inspiring presence today. Andre spoke about the importance of mental health and reminded us that each of us has the power to push our own limits. That was his heartfelt wish for all of us as we enter the new year. What a fantastic and truly inspiring person!

We were also surprised by an unexpected visitor – a real Norwegian Viking, who joined the moment and made it even more special. Thank you for this wonderful surprise!
