Live music festival with a special eye on performing artists from Latin-Amerika, Africa, Asia, Sapmi… The 2022 festival edition will run from Nov 3 - 5.

Tromsø World Festival is a 3 day indoors festival aiming to present an up to date presentation music and arts festival with a special eye and ear on music from Africa, Latin-America, Asia, Eastern-Europe and the Midle-East. 🌎 LE MOTEL (Belgium) & MAGUGU (Nigeria)

Hip Hop from the global underground ⛓️‍💥
Genres: Bass, UK Garage, Grime, Jungle, Dancehall and Afrobeats

Le Motel and Magugu are a Brussels/Cardiff-rooted duo whose collaborative relationship dates back to 2021. Le Motel, boss of Maloca Records, is known for his signature organic percussive production, while Magugu, a Nigerian poet and Cardiff-based "Pidgin Rap Guru" raps in Pidgin, an English-based creole spoken in Nigeria, blending Afrobeat, Dancehall, Grime and Drum and Bass with a distinctive raw voice.

Desert blues for a new generation 🌞
Genres: Desert blues / Tuareg rock

Imarhan visits Tromsø for the first time and brings hypnotic desert grooves, fuzzed-out guitars and rhythms that move effortlessly between trance and celebration.
Often described as a new generation of Tuareg music, the Algerian band has built a sound rooted in Saharan blues while pulling in funk, rock, disco and subtle electronics. The result is both deeply traditional and unmistakably modern.
From late-night desert pulse to ecstatic live energy, Imarhan creates music that feels warm, restless and completely alive.

On 31 October, Tromsø World FREE returns with a big, free daytime programme celebrating the diversity of our city.

We invite immigrant associations and international communities in Tromsø to join us and share their culture and traditions through food, music, dance, art, crafts, or something completely different!

Tromsø World FREE is about meeting each other, getting to know each other and creating a more inclusive Tromsø together.
