Check out some of the highlights of the second installment of KANVAS!
While the FIRE HOUSE was getting torn down, we held improvisation for contemporary music workshops, video mapping and immersive sound workshops, guerrilla mapping outdoors featuring pop up outdoor video installations by artists in residence John Tettenborn and Anna Laborova, various interdisciplinary performances featuring contemporary dance, experimental music and responsive video projections by artists like Lidia Sanchez-Nieves Plana, Nguyen To Hoan P**c, Anna Laborova, Priscila Serrano, Ingvild Tingnes, Lexie, John Tettenborn. As well as interactive video installations that welcomed the public to interconnect with this form of art.

We are so thankful for the audience, the participants, the artists that came for the artist residencies, performers, Sølvberget Bibliotek, Stavanger kommune, Zonal - Cultural Center for Interdisciplinary Arts!

And we are happy to announce we received support from Sparebankstiftelsen SR-Bank for our educational program to pay for materials and equipment to be used during KANVAS 2026! 🙏✨🎉

KANVAS 2024 - Street Art & New Technologies Festival

Check out our program for this weekend at Mablis!
We have international street artists painting during the festival on Friday and Saturday between 15-23

A few young talented artists will be painting during Barnas Mablis and we will have workshops for kids at Lysehagen on Saturday from 11:00!

Don't forget to go through our interactive and immersive installation in the forest featuring various artworks by local artists and an interactive corner where everyone can get the chance to create!

This collaboration is possible thanks to Mablis! Safteriet, Stavanger kommune Urban Hands, and BlackTeal Studios

Come to the old firestation on Lagårdsveien! Indoor exhibition tours, Mexican Food for sale, spray painting, kids activities, video mapping animations, displays of Stavanger’s fire department history, music, and more!
Come back throughout the day (and after dark!) to see the building come to life with more video mappings added throughout the day and evening!

KANVAS FIRE HOUSE by Algebra, 12:00-17:00 (at the old firestation, Lagårdsveien 32)
- Hourly tours of the immersive indoor exhibition, beginning at 12:30
- Mexican food for sale
- Street art, graffiti, projection mappings, and AR installations by local and international artists
- Spray-painting from 15:00-17:00
- Face painting

URBAN KANVAS
- Mural viewing, all day at EastSide Kvartalet and FIRE HOUSE
- 3D Animated projection mapping exhibition (indoors) at KANVAS FIRE HOUSE - see the building come to life after dark!
