Some of our proudest moments at Tour of Norway take place long before the peloton rolls out from the start line – and far away from the TV cameras.

Through a combination of digital courses and classroom training, Road Safety, together with the Norwegian Cycling Federation, educates participants to become certified course marshals and stationary traffic controllers authorized to regulate traffic. For us at Tour of Norway, this dedicated team is an indispensable asset in executing a safe and professional race.

Road Safety uses Tour of Norway as a safe arena for inclusion and skill development. The people in Road Safety are individuals currently outside the traditional workforce who have made an active decision to create a new everyday life – with clear requirements such as showing up substance-free and taking responsibility for their own progress.

This is a core part of the value we create for society, and one of the reasons why Tour of Norway is an important investment for the community!🩵

Women’s cycling is experiencing tremendous growth these days, with a level of competition and race dynamics that are fantastic to watch. For us, it was only natural to give the audience the best of both worlds on the very same weekend last year. Now, we are working hard to make that happen again in 2027!🙌

At Tour of Norway, men and women compete on the exact same stage. They race along the same routes, have access to the same professional support systems, and compete for equal prize money.

It is simply a matter of recognizing elite athletic performances at an elite level. When children and adults stand along the course cheering today, they get to experience international cycling at its absolute best – regardless of who is in the saddle.

We are incredibly proud that we in Tour of Norway can set the standard for the sports events of the future, showing just how great this concept is when everything is put in place🤝

Let’s do this again.
