ON VIEW - HONG KONG PHOTOBOOK DUMMY AWARD 2025

This year, we are honoured to be collaborating with Hong Kong Photobook Festival (HKPBF), exhibiting their third edition of Hong Kong Photobook Dummy Award 2025. This is one of the festival's highlights, which aims to support emerging artists and provide them with opportunities to showcase their work at international festivals.

Alongside our open photobook library, you will be able to browse and look through all the winning and shortlisted dummies from 2025, that are currently on tour in Europe.

Do not miss the chance to see some of these beautiful titles!

ABOUT HKPBF

Hong Kong Photobook Festival was founded by Lumenvisum in 2020. The Festival aims to connect photographers, artists, and a diverse range of publishers and independent groups from all over the world. It also serves as a supporter of emerging artists to gain exposure in the field of contemporary photography.

This year, we are honoured to be collaborating again with , exhibiting their third edition of Hong Kong Photobook Dummy Award 2025 - all winning and shortlisted dummies. This is one of the festival’s highlights, which aims to support emerging artists and provide them with opportunities to showcase their work at international festivals.

Alongside the exhibition, you will also be able to visit ’s photobook library with over 2000 titles collected over the span of 50 years from members, previous editions of festivals, Norwegian Photografic Fund (Nofofo) and from .

We are honoured to be collaborating with some amazing satellites this year, and some who have supported and cheered us on since our humble beginnings - is one of those satellites📚😮‍💨👌🏼❤️

has been the go-to place for those seeking unique bookstores since 1973. In today’s book market, where commercial chains dominate, Tronsmo is as important as ever. As an independent bookstore, they feel a responsibility and passion to promote the photobook as a genre. Their selection of photobooks have greatly expanded over the past few years, and they also host events such as book launches and artist talks throughout the year.

At Tronsmo, you can discover photobooks by both local heroes and global superstars, as well as lesser-known talents - most definitely your new favourite title!

So visiting Tronsmo is a must in Oslo - before, during and after the festival. Welcome!

Join us for a talk with .photo.book about thoughts, experiences and history behind their professional endeavor - their publishing house and newly opened shop at Grunerløkka - and the status of the photobook in 2025. Here, the founders and photographers Hans-Olav Forang and Massimo Leardini will also speak about what it takes to succeed with a photobook, trends and also show a handful of titles and publications.

This year, we are super excited to be collaborating with some amazing satellites that are ready to kick off the festival before the main weekend.

We are thrilled to announce that will be kicking off and opening their newest exhibition with & .

In ‘New Morning in the Old World’, Belgaux examines a volatile decade of transition in Europe and how the presence of history shadows the turbulence of the present, resulting in democratic backsliding and war. Alongside him, Uncertain States Scandinavia will present a selection of eight artists responding to Belgaux’s works, including Terje Abusdal, Christian Belgaux, Bjørn Henrik Lybeck, Ingmar Björn Nolting, Amanda Iversen Orlich, Maria Di Stefano, Jon Wang & Ada Zielinska, and also launch their newest special edition, ‘Issue 25: EUROPA’

There will also be a conversation between Christian Belgaux and John Erik Riley - photobook critic for Klassekampen and author and editor-in-chief Norwegian fiction at Cappelen Damm, as well as a book signing, newspaper launch, and a mini-concert with Mykola Sheremeta.
