MIRAGE MIRAGE is an international film festival in Oslo dedicated to the collaborative art of cinema and the craft of filmmaking. oktober. Vår hovedarena er Vega Scene.

MIRAGE 2025 arrangeres i Oslo i perioden 08-12.

MIRAGE 2025 will be held in Oslo from October 8th to 12th. The festival focuses on promoting the craft and films that push the boundaries of audiovisual storytelling – films created for the big screen. We handpick film gems from the largest international film festivals, which engage, inspire and challenge us to take part in and experience the world and our surroundings in new and unexpected ways, through unique stories and impressions from reality, and encounters between people and cultures. At MIRAGE, you are taken on a comprehensive journey through film, visual arts and music, where you get to experience visually striking films in unique surroundings. With unique film screening concepts, music experiences, club nights, photo exhibitions, masterclasses and industry, we want to be an exciting gathering place for the public and the industry, where we can discuss together what we have seen and experienced through the festival. Our main arena is Vega Scene, in addition to exhibitions, talks and events at other arenas and outdoors in the city space.

Introducing AFTER DREAMING by Christine Haroutounian as the 2026 Film of the Year!

AFTER DREAMING takes us across Armenia with a soldier and a young girl. The country is neither at war nor at peace, and this uncertainty is present in every image. Mountains, faces, light and silence are filmed with great attention, while the road trip gradually shifts between reality and dream. The result is intimate, unsettling and full of unexpected beauty.

Each year, MIRAGE selects one work as our Film of the Year—a film whose uncompromising vision shapes the festival’s visual identity. For 2026, the dreamlike and haunting visual world of AFTER DREAMING will move through our posters, flyers, website, festival spaces and colour ( ).

We are very grateful to Christine Haroutounian for allowing us to use her images.
