The foundation “Barentshavkonferanser” is situated in Hammerfest. The Founders are different companies and organizations which are related to the petroleum and energy sector in the Barents region. The Foundations purpose:

The purpose of the foundation ”Barentshavkonferanser” is to contribute to development, information and knowledge in business activities related to energy and petroleum sector in the Barents region, and opportunities related to them. The foundation is the organizer of the annually Barents Sea Conference and Barents Sea Exhibition, which takes place in April. The board has the overall responsibility for the foundations economy and assets. Kåre Tormod Nilsen is the Chairman of the board. The administration headed by director Trond Baardsen. There shall be held an annually conference, together with other activities that promote the foundations goals.
