The Norwegian government has declared that Norway will be leading the development of new, innovative and sustainable ocean industries. In Norway, the ocean industries are behind a annual value creation of NOK 680 billion. This represents approximately one third of the total value creation in private business. We are living in an exciting and challenging time, and the need for developing the existing ocean industries and create new and sustainable ways of using the opportunities the ocean gives us is a key factor for managing the ambitious UN sustainable development goals (SDG).
