A new DJ joins the lineup, and we’re very happy to welcome Helenus fra Venus to Trollkauk!

Helenus fra Venus is a DJ based in Oslo, with a deep love for a wide range of music. Though new to the scene, she’s fallen completely in love with the craft — exploring everything from groovy disco and funky house to deeper electronic music and atmospheric techno.

At Trollkauk, you can expect a dreamy journey through warm, soothing ambient sound, gradually unfolding into an organic electronic landscape with a hypnotic, almost spiritual atmosphere. Elements of jazz and downtempo trip-hop blend with a gentle, cinematic nostalgia and a soulful edge.

For Helene, it’s not just about the music, but the energy we create and share together. Through movement and presence, she connects with the people around her — encouraging you to get up, move, and really feel the music. She brings a playful energy to her sets, inviting small moments of interaction that turn into something shared and immersive.

We’re really looking forward to experiencing this one together — slow, warm, and somewhere between stillness and movement!

All the way from the USA, across oceans and open skies, a wandering soul is making his way to the fields.

This summer, arrives!

A singer, songwriter, performer and multi-instrumentalist, he has spent years on the road, playing hundreds of shows and gathering stories along the way. From the Outer Banks of North Carolina to San Diego and onward to Hollywood, his journey has been shaped by movement, sound and a relentless urge to create.

At Trollkauk, he strips it all back. Out on the small farm, under the sun, he’ll bring warm, flowing songs that settle into the landscape and the moment. Music that belongs just as much to the open sky as it does to the people listening.

A charming presence, with a voice that carries both grit and soul, he will most certainly enchant us with his warm, drifting sound. There’s something about it.

Some say it feels like being thrown back to a time when The Doors ruled the stage. And when Kyle sings, you might start to wonder; is it the voice, the presence, or something harder to explain?

Come see. Come listen. We’ll find out together this summer.

Some bands play Trollkauk once. Others just… belong there.

We’re very happy to welcome DØDSEGO back to the valley! Last year, they closed the festival with a show that people are still talking about — a long, psychedelic rock set carried by raw energy, shifting dynamics and a constant sense that anything could happen next. It didn’t feel scripted or controlled. It felt alive.

DØDSEGO is a seven-piece rock band operating at the intersection of progressive rock, psychedelia and punk. Through explosive dynamics and extended compositions, they channel musical chaos into something focused, physical and deeply engaging.

They are drawn to the moments where control slips and something more instinctive takes over — where the music is not just played, but shaped in real time, together.

Live, it becomes more than just a concert. With their seventh member, Junglejules, creating evolving visuals that move with the sound, each show turns into a full audiovisual experience — immersive, unpredictable and always unique.

We’re very glad to have them back. And we’re really looking forward to experiencing this one together.

We’re excited to welcome Even Sigurdsen Røstad to Trollkauk.

Originally from Innherred and now living on a sailboat in Kristiansand, Even is a Norwegian artist and musician known for his experimental approach to electronic music and improvisation. Using laptop and electronics as instruments, he explores live sampling, remixing and sound manipulation — constantly recycling and reshaping audio into new forms.

Driven by a strong DIY ethos, his live sets are always evolving and tailored to the moment, creating a unique experience for each audience. Whether performing hypnotic, industrial club music as Even.wav or presenting his own electronic compositions, his music blends elements of ambient, sci-fi, jazz and film music through improvisation and live remixing.

Even has collaborated with artists such as Hamid Drake, Lutosławski Quartet, Maciej Obara, Audun Kleive, Nils Petter Molvær and the Norwegian Radio Orchestra (KORK).

We can’t wait to experience this exploratory and hypnotic performance together at Trollkauk 🌀

This year, are coming to Trollkaukfestivalen, bringing their powerful blend of Tamil folk traditions and modern folk rock to the forest.

Based in Bergen, the band draws inspiration from Carnatic music, baila, and Tamil folk, creating a vibrant and distinctive sound. Formed in 2017 by sisters Mira and Dipha Thiruchelvam alongside Jakob Sisselson Hamre and Jakob Sønnesyn, they are known for energetic, confident live performances featuring instruments like bamboo flute and cajón.

They have played major Norwegian festivals and club stages nationwide, appeared on national TV, and taken part in unique projects including collaborations with the Norwegian Broadcasting Orchestra and artistic interpretations of Edvard Munch. Their debut album Jaffna (2019) received critical acclaim and won Subjektprisen’s “Artist of the Year,” followed by Yalpanam (2023), which earned a Spellemann Award in the Open Category in 2024.

Yalpanam tells a story of migration, identity, and the tension of navigating between cultures. Named after the original Tamil name of Jaffna—the city their parents come from—the album reflects the band’s deep commitment to preserving Tamil cultural heritage through music and their choice to sing in Tamil.

We can’t wait to experience 9 grader nord live at Trollkauk — expect rhythm, resistance, warmth, and a sound that stays with you long after the last note fades 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

Let’s be honest:
there is no Trollkauk without Drongo!

The first year they played, people didn’t quite know what was happening. Some just stopped. Others stared — before realising they weren’t going anywhere anytime soon.

The year after, it went even further. Three full hours. No breaks. Hypnotic kraut-disco rolling forward, bodies moving on instinct, feet refusing to slow down while time quietly slipped away. It was intense, physical, and strangely effortless — the kind of night that stays with you long after.

So what happens this year?
We don’t know yet.
And that’s exactly what makes it exciting.

If you haven’t crossed paths with them before, here’s what you need to know:
Drongo feels like the unlikely offspring of a Norwegian space-disco DJ and a krautrock collective lost deep in the woods. With a fearless, no-bullsh*t improvisational spirit, they weave techno aesthetics together with live musicianship. Playful, organic and wonderfully strange. Inspired by everything from Lindstrøm and Lightning Bolt to Charles Mingus, their music turns concerts into living, breathing creatures.

Since 2021, Drongo have released three albums (with a fourth on the way) and earned a cult-like reputation for live shows that feel less like concerts and more like communal rites, where no one stands still and everyone leaves changed.

We’re very glad they’re back.
And we hope you’ll be there too.

A new DJ joins the Trollkauk family — and we’re very happy to welcome Olefonken to the valley!

Olefonken is a DJ and producer from Oslo who co-founded the group Hubbabubbaklubb and is one half of the label Snorkel Records. The more attentive listeners may also know him as Sure Sivert, the man behind the popular mix series Sure Oppstøt, which highlights forgotten and overlooked Norwegian tracks.

Known for his playful ear and wide-ranging taste, Olefonken blends leftfield disco, Norwegian oddities, and warm, off-kilter grooves both in his productions and his DJ sets. His deep digging and distinctive musical personality have made him a trusted favourite within Oslo’s clubscene.

We can’t wait to let these sounds roam freely — under open skies, between trees, and deep into the night.

We’re stepping into the new year with a new DJ on the lineup, and we can’t wait to welcome Aydin to Trollkauk!

Over the past years, Aydin has become a familiar presence in Oslo’s underground, shaping a distinctive sound within the city’s steadily growing techno scene. As co-founder of Fragments (), he’s been part of building a concept known for immersive forest raves and club nights — driven by a strong identity and a deep dedication to sound, atmosphere, and intention.

His sound leans into the hypnotic and the mysterious, drifting between what feels defined and what slowly slips away. Within it lies an echo of his Iranian roots, and a search for music’s deeper, existential resonance.

Aydin aims to create moments that feel truly alive — charged with drive and intensity, yet open and spacious enough to let the night unfold on its own terms.

We’re truly looking forward to sharing this experience with you 🪩

Our dear trolls and forest spirits, let us introduce ✨

A longtime friend of Esten, the two first met at folk high school, where they played together in the band Mylder. Since then, Herman has gone solo – not only as a singer-songwriter, but also as a producer, and as a member of Thomas Dybdahl’s band. Esten still remembers Herman saying back in school: “Imagine playing in Thomas Dybdahl’s band one day.” And now he actually does – as seen on Hver gang vi møtes on TV2.

But it’s not Thomas Dybdahl who’s coming to Trollkaukfestivalen. It’s someone Esten loves just as much, and is incredibly proud to share with you!

The music of Herman Wildhagen is the sound of peaceful stillness meeting the pulse of a bleeding heart. In the space between the intimate and the dramatic, Wildhagen creates a sonic world where beauty and pain coexist. The result is stories that feel both timeless and immediate, fragile and strong.

His debut album Rise Up, Keep It Down was released in February on Braveheart Records (home to Jonas Alaska, Mikhael Paskalev and Billie Van) and received glowing reviews from Aftenposten, Dagsavisen, DN and Gaffa.

This daytime concert will be something truly special – heartfelt, magical and beautifully moving.

And by the way – Herman makes the best apple pie! 🥧

You can now be part of arranging Trollkauk 2026!

Every year, the festival is shaped by the people who choose to give a little of themselves — their time, their hands, their laughter — and in return become part of the pulse that carries the whole weekend.

Volunteering at Trollkauk isn’t just about doing shifts. It’s about being there in the quiet moments before everything starts, when the valley is still and full of promise. It’s sharing food around a table with people you’ve never met before, and somehow feeling like you’ve known them for years. It’s stepping into small tasks that suddenly feel meaningful because they’re part of something bigger than you.

Some hours are busy, some are slow, some are unexpectedly beautiful. And in all of it, you get to experience Trollkauk from the inside — the build-up, the flow, the joy, the tired feet, the music drifting through the trees, and the feeling of belonging to a crew that looks out for each other.

🫱🏼‍🫲🏾What we ask of you:
That you show up on time, sober and ready for your shift, treat people with kindness, and carry your part of the flow. You don’t need experience — just willingness, reliability and good energy.

💝 And what you receive in return is something we value deeply:
A spot in the crew where your presence matters, meals shared during your shifts, a festival pass so you can experience the weekend fully, and the gatherings that frame it all — the pre-festival hangout, the Sunday afterparty, and the simple joy of being surrounded by good people doing something meaningful together.

There are many ways to contribute — bar & merch, backstage, field crew, rigg, or one of our special roles. Tell us where you’d like to be, and we’ll help you find a good fit.

If your heart says yes, the volunteer form for 2026 is now open 🩷 Link in comments!
