Some songs refuse to be silenced. ๐ŸŽฌ

Ayman Sandok is a Syrian filmmaker based in The Hague whose work finds humanity in the quiet spaces between conflict and recovery. His latest documentary is his most urgent yet; a deeply intimate portrait of an underground musical ensemble in Damascus, fighting to keep art alive in a city finding its voice again.

Faces of Syria ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡พ
Meet Mira โ€” A Syrian singer, oboist, and voice artist in the Netherlands whose voice has reached over eighty airports around the world.

As part of our Faces of Syria series, we sat down with Syrians living across the Netherlands to hear their stories of resilience, reinvention, and success. Their voices remind us that behind every journey is a person with a dream worth telling.

Faces of Syria will also be presented as an exhibition throughout RAFF 2026. Come experience their stories in person.
