Shagadelic Festival

Hi everyone!

We have some sad news… We are going to have to postpone our festival. We had some problems with our main venue cancelling on us, and we tried very hard to find a replacement, even looking to move to a different city than we had planned… but sadly we were not able to arrange anything that would give the same feel of festival you are used to.

So for the moment we want to wish you happy holidays and all the best for the coming year! And hopefully we’ll be able to present a new date, along with all the information about teachers, bands and venues very soon!

Mark your calendars, 'cause we'll be back with the third edition of S**gadelic in January!! ☝️😎

We're very confident that we can finally move back to our original slot, far away from the hot summer months. And don't worry - we have read your feedback and we fully agree: S**gadelic will not be hosted in Amsterdam 😉 We are working out the details now, and will announce more info soon!

See you all back in the Netherlands on 27-29 January 2023!

Hey S**ggies!

Another change of tune, as our band for tonight sadly can't make it... But we are super happy to have the awesome Boll Weevil playing for us tonight! 🤩

Boll Weevil is a quintet based in Amsterdam composed by lead singer Sam Ghezzi, Vincent Pino on guitar, Jerome de Vijlder on harmonica, Cesar Puente on double bass and Joe Korach on drums. The band revives a specific style of blues called “Chicago Blues”, an electric style that was played by musicians at rent parties and in the streets of Chicago Illinois in the 50’s, and “Jump Blues”, an up-tempo and swinging style with many influences from the jazz of the 40’s.

So all of you coming to the Boogie Woogie taster class will still get plenty chances to throw it down on the dance floor tonight 😎
