On Saturday 30 May 2026, vv Trinitas Oisterwijk’s 🇳🇱 international football festival kicked off once again.
To put it mildly, we didn’t exactly get off to a relaxed start. A massive power cut at around 4.30 am threatened to cause a huge fiasco.
Fortunately, the power supply was restored by 8.50 am. So just 10 minutes before the opening ceremony!
However, the power cut had damaged the sound system, meaning the opening ceremony could only be heard in the stands but unfortunately not on the pitch.
A great pity, but there was nothing we could do about it. A case of force majeure, shall we say.
On the first day of the tournament, the U13 boys and U14/U15 boys were going to play in tropical conditions. At first five group matches, followed by the semi-finals and final.

The Trinitas derby in the other semi-final ended in a draw, but the U13-1 team showed slightly more composure in the penalty shoot-out.
The battle for gold between Metrogas FC U13 🏴 and Trinitas Oisterwijk U13-1 🇳🇱 also had to be decided on penalties. In the end, the biggest trophy went to England.
