The Liverpool trio, founded by guitarist-vocalist Jon Davis, has spent almost two decades perfecting one of heavy music’s most singular sounds — riffs downtuned to the earth’s core, amplified to breaking point, and dragged across blood-soaked battlefields at glacial pace. Their back catalogue, from Monnos to Blood Eagle and Evidence of Immortality, reads like a manual on tonal extremity. Sad news: YOB will no longer perform at Soulcrusher. We’ve been informed that guitarist and lead vocalist Mike Scheidt is dealing with health issues and will need to focus on his recovery over the coming months.

This is of course a huge disappointment for everyone who was looking forward to seeing YOB live again — including Mike and the band. That said, health and wellbeing must come first. We wish Mike a swift and full recovery, and we’re confident we’ll cross paths again in the near future 🙏

In the meantime, we’re working to fill the gap in the lineup. More information will follow as soon as possible.
