ECespoirs ECespoirs (EK Beloften) petanque, 17 en 18 oktober in Nieuwegein Nederland Toppetanque in Nederland! Datum 17 en 18 oktober. Dit evenement is gratis toegankelijk.

Het Europees Kampioenschap Beloften (voor beloftenspelers tot 23 jaar) vind dit jaar plaats in Nieuwegein. Naast Nederland doen mee:
Frankrijk, Italië, Zweden, Luxemburg, Duitsland, Denemarken, Spanje, Turkije en België.

Drama for the Belgium mens team. After some big matches in the poule with Spain, Italy and France they managed to win 2 matches. But so did also Italy and Spain. Surprisingly France lost all their matches.

With 3 teams with 2 matches won a lot of calculating had to be done. Belgium came out third in the poule en therefore is out of the competition. Major shock for the Belgium players who played so well all day long.

The Belgium girls did what was expected from them and quilified for the final stages.

A quick update about the Dutch teams, because we are in Holland of course! 😉

After the loss in the first round against France, the Dutch women didn't start well against Turkey... The triplet match was lost and therefore they had to win the single as well as the double... Which they did! In a thriller single, where Lieke faced the 13th point of the Turkish player again and again, she finally got the chance to win the match herself, and although he tension was high... She did it! And the Dutch crowd went wild 😃 especially when the Dutch doubles also won their match!

Also in the Dutch men team there was reason to celebrate. They won the first triplet match against Luxembourg, which gave them some breathing space in the following two matches. Both matches didn't start well for the Dutch, but as the matches went on, they played better and better. The single player from Luxembourg proved to be an excellent pointeur and won his match, although Tom managed to fight himself back in the match due to great shooting. But luckily for the Dutch, they did win the doubles match which means an overall win against the Luxembourg team!
