🖤 In memoriam – George Valkema 🖤

Met grote verslagenheid hebben wij het verdrietige nieuws ontvangen dat George Valkema is overleden.

George was al jarenlang een trouwe deelnemer van de Realtrip en daarnaast een zeer betrokken en loyale sponsor met zijn zeilmakerij Sudersee. Zijn steun, inzet en liefde voor de windsurfsport en onze community waren van onschatbare waarde.

Wij verliezen in George een betrokken vriend van de Realtrip, iemand die altijd klaarstond en nauw verbonden was met het evenement en alles waar het voor staat samen zijn op en rond het water.

Onze gedachten en medeleven gaan uit naar zijn vrouw, kinderen, familie en alle dierbaren.
Wij wensen hen veel kracht, sterkte en liefde toe in deze moeilijke periode.

During The Realtrip 2025, our partner Duotone Windsurfing awarded a special prize for the most talented surfer in the age group 13–17 years. This year, the award went to Seppe Wiersema, the happy winner of a brand-new Duotone windsurfing sail.

Encouragement Prize U12
At The Realtrip Back to Basic 2025, the challenge trophy in the U12 category was awarded to Mila Weijers.
All participating kids competed in several races throughout the weekend.
We look forward to seeing Mila again next year to hand over the prize at The Realtrip 2026.

What a performance – last weekend the LT windsurfers completed an impressive 6 long distance races during The Realtrip – Back to Basic 2025. 🌊💨

Today we celebrate the prize winners 🏆 and want to thank all LT participants for their amazing effort, sportsmanship and good vibes on and off the water. 🙌
