What a special weekend.
At the World Predator Classic marshals and helpers gathering, we had the honor of welcoming a very special guest of honor: Bertus Rozemeijer.
Anyone involved in Europe’s predator fishing scene knows his name. Bertus has been one of the defining figures of modern predator fishing for decades. He was among the early pioneers of lure fishing in Europe, published his first book as early as 1981, and remains a respected innovator, author and voice within the sport. For his contributions as a guide and conservation-minded angler, he was even knighted in the Netherlands.
During breakfast after our marshals fishing session, Bertus honored us with an outstanding talk. Inspiring, thoughtful, full of experience — and shaped by that rare combination of deep expertise, passion and true connection to nature. Because Bertus is not only one of the most important predator anglers in Western Europe, but also an exceptional nature photographer whose dedication to the natural world goes far beyond fishing.
That is exactly what makes his role within WPC so extraordinary:
Having someone of Bertus’ caliber, knowledge and legacy in our ranks is something truly exceptional.
And we are proud to say:
Our cooperation with Bertus Rozemeijer continues.
For the future of WPC, this means one thing: we continue to rely on the very best.
The best marshals.
The best helpers.
And yes — a true legend of our sport.
Thank you, Bertus.
Thank you to all WPC marshals and helpers for your commitment, your energy and your passion.
The next WPC can come.
