You might know us for the Record Fair. This year, it moves to Grote Markt.

For the first time, the festival’s outdoor record market sets up on the square at the centre of Haarlem, where markets have been part of the picture for centuries.

For two days, more than 65 local and international dealers fill the square with records, singles, rarities and music memorabilia. And there is all a vinyl-lover needs to spend a whole day from food, coffee, records, dancing, workshops and more.

So yes, the Record Fair is probably where you picture us. It’s the free, open part you can even run into without planning, and it’s where a lot of people meet us first. But it’s one part of a three-day festival: concerts, listening sessions, DJ sets, films and talks across the city, plus the programmes by ZWARTE LIEFDE and FUNKY VINYL / We Make You Dance on the square itself. The full festival programme is nearly finished, so keep an eye on for the rest!

A record slowed down far enough stops sounding like the song you know. 🐢

At Vleeshal , Allard Krijger (Allard Krijger ) stretches vinyl into drifting textures and improvises on top of them with the Melancholytron, a synthesizer he built to accompany his book about melancholy. Visual artist Jurjen Alkema answers in real time, turning the hall’s walls and columns into a surface for projection and light that shifts with every sound.

🎧A closer listen to PANORAMA with Thomas Azier.

On Saturday 3 October, Thomas Azier sits down Cristel Ball at PHIL Haarlem for an intimate listening session exploring the making of his latest work, the ideas behind it and the music that shaped him along the way.

Bringing records from his own collection, Azier will share some of his inspirations before diving into excerpts from PANORAMA - a deeply personal project where pop, electronics, strings, spoken word, opera and projection come together.

A rare chance to hear the stories, influences and sounds behind the album, directly from the artist himself.
