RULES: Here's what every competitor should know.

The countdown to the NRHA European Affiliate Championship 2026 has begun, and while everyone is focused on patterns, preparation, and performance, there are a few important details that can make your week run much smoother.

✅ Arrival is possible from Saturday, July 18, at 14:00.�
✅ Entries close on June 17, and cancellations are no longer possible after July 1.
�✅ A valid NRHA membership and horse competition license are required to compete. �
✅ One Paid Warm-Up per horse-and-rider combination is guaranteed. �
✅ Horses will be subject to NRHA medication and doping regulations, with random testing in place.
And because great championships are built on respect for horses, riders, and fellow competitors:
• Reserve your stalls and camping spots in advance. Availability is limited. �
• Keep dogs on a leash.
• No smoking in the stables. �
• Follow the instructions of the show management and steward team to keep the event safe and enjoyable for everyone.

The NRHA European Affiliate Championship is more than a competition. It is a week where Europe's reining community comes together to compete, learn, reconnect, and celebrate our sport.

Many riders focus on the competition itself. But at the 2026 NRHA European Affiliate Championship in Grathem, there is another opportunity waiting in the arena: Chrome Cash.

From July 20–25, 2026, eligible APHA-registered horses can compete for an additional $2,500 USD in added Chrome Cash money alongside the regular championship payouts.

What many owners still don’t know:
Your horse may already qualify.

If your horse has at least one registered Paint parent, registration with the American Paint Horse Association could be far easier and more affordable than expected. According to APHA guidelines, horses with one APHA-registered parent may be eligible for registration and participation in Chrome Cash classes.

Chrome Cash continues to grow as one of the most attractive added-value opportunities at international reining events, giving riders the chance to earn additional payouts while showcasing the versatility and quality of registered Paint Horses.

Before the show season starts, it may be worth checking your horse’s eligibility. The opportunity could already be standing in your barn.
