Luna Festival

The LUNA FESTIVAL is a yearly Culture Festival organized by Eindhoven's very own student culture associations in collaboration with Studium Generale Eindhoven.

WERE ALMOST THERE! LunaFest is taking over the Luna Building tomorrow, and the Gods have clearly not been subtle about it. You may have seen us already on the TU/e screens, at Fontys, or even on the coffee machines, because apparently divine announcements now also come with caffeine. Tomorrow Luna will become a full festival space with workshops, live music, arts & crafts, performances, games, challenges, and whatever else the Gods decided to throw into the program this year.

Whether you want to dance, paint, listen to live bands, join a workshop, watch a performance, try something chaotic, or just walk around and see where the day takes you, LunaFest is open for everyone. No offering required, no heroic quest at the entrance, and no need to be part of an association.

National Liability, brought to you by ESMG Modern, combines classic and modern rock, while pulling in bits of pop, jazz and metal along the way. What started as a passion project slowly grew into a full band of creative musicians from different countries and backgrounds, all bringing their own experiences to the stage. Alongside their covers, they’ll also bring original compositions like Can We Swing It? and Our First Fall. Some songs are feel-good and energetic, others slower and more personal, but all of them carry that “we actually really want to be here” energy. Add a little Gods and Glory to that, and you get a band ready to wake up the pantheon.

The Gods leave behind stories, images, and traces of what once happened, this is where you find them. Step into this exhibition by Glyph, KL!NK, and Dekate Mousa and walk through a collection of artpieces. These are built, written, or to life through photography. Each work carries more than what you see at first glance, with QR codes guiding you deeper, audio fragments, poetry, explanations, like a museum where the Gods are still being interpreted. You move through it at your own pace, picking up pieces of different stories, all tied to Gods and Glory in their own way.

Walk through the works and see what story stays with you.

Even the Gods need a proper ending, and this is where it happens. When everything settles down, DJ Steef, straight from the Scala board, takes over Hubble and keeps the night going. No more workshops, no more planning, just music, people, and whatever energy is left after a full day of LunaFest. It’s the final stretch, where everything comes together one last time before it ends.

Stay for the afterparty and close the night with the Gods.

The Gods don’t just live in stories, they need people to tell them. Step into this collaboration by KL!NK and Doppio and start by writing your own script, something inspired by Gods and Glory, your own myth in the making. You’ll get guidance, a bit of structure, and then it’s up to you what kind of story you create. After that, the stage opens. Join the acting workshop to bring those scripts to life, or step into a role and see what happens when words turn into actual scenes. And if you’re ready for it, the Theatre of Thunder in Corona is where it all comes together, performances are played out in front of an audience.

Some Gods think, others fight, and here you’ll have to do both. Step into this arena by Noesis and IMPACT where chess meets boxing, rounds of strategy followed by rounds in the ring. You can win by checkmate or by knockout, depending on what kind of player you are. Two people enter, one walks away with the win, and the rest of the crowd gets to watch it unfold like something straight out of a myth. Part strategy and pure chaos, honouring both Athena and Ares.

Step into the ring and show which God you follow.

Not every band follows the path the Gods laid out, some drift off. That’s Outliers, brought to you by ESMG Modern. A group of study friends who started jamming and somehow turned it into a full band, most of them coming from Data Science, which is where their name comes from. Their sound moves between funk, rock, and whatever else fits the moment. You might recognise something, you might not, but either way it pulls you in. There’s something about it that fits the whole Gods and Glory idea, people stepping up, trying something, and seeing where it leads.

Stick around and see what happens when Outliers take the stage.

Not every God needs a full orchestra, sometimes a single instrument is enough. Step into this workshop by Quadrivium and sit down at the piano, whether you’re just starting out or already trying to outplay Apollo himself. You’ll be guided through the basics, get a feel for the instrument, and see how quickly a few notes turn into something more.

Not all dances of the Gods are loud. Some are quieter, older, passed down long before anyone wrote them down. Step into this workshop by the Knights of the Kitchen Table and learn the basics of Balfolk, a traditional group dance. It feels almost like an old ritual, something shared rather than shown off. No prior experience is needed, you’ll be guided through it step by step, and before you realise it you’re part of it.

Not every God fights with swords, some prefer engines. Learn how to make your engines run like they are blessed by Hephaestus himself in this workshop where you get to take apart a moped and then hopefully fix it. This workshop by Beunbazen takes on a moped that’s been deliberately thrown out of balance. You’ll get a short explanation of how a carburetor actually works, and then it’s up to you to tune it back into something that runs properly again. It’s hands-on, a bit messy, and you’ll know pretty quickly whether you’ve got the touch or not.

Bring the engine back to life and see if you earn the blessing of the forge.
