Today is your final chance to submit your short film for the upcoming Shortcutz sessions in June and September.

Selected films become part of the official competition, are screened to audiences, filmmakers and industry professionals, and are considered by our jury team for the annual nominations and awards.

Every year, a selection of our nominees also travels internationally through the Shortcutz International Audience Award, reaching audiences in cities around the world.

If your film is ready, we’d love to see it.

From pitch to production.

This week, the three projects selected in the first phase of Shortcutz Greenlight visited Posta Vermaas to meet the team, discuss workflow, explore the studios, and take the next steps in the journey of their films.

Posta Vermaas is one of the official Greenlight partners and will support the selected projects with sound post-production facilities, guidance, expertise, and access to a network of professionals throughout the process.

One of the goals of Greenlight is not only to provide access to equipment and resources, but also to connect filmmakers with experienced professionals and give them a better understanding of the full production and post-production workflow.

A big thank you to the team at Posta Vermaas for welcoming our filmmakers and sharing their knowledge and experience.

The selected projects are:

We’re excited to follow their progress in the coming months.

We’re happy to welcome Jon Karthaus to Shortcutz Amsterdam.

Jon is a filmmaker, screenwriter and producer who has built an impressive career both in front of and behind the camera. His work includes *Bon Bini Holland 2*, *Costa!!*, *Homies*, *The Dadchelor* and *Fijn Weekend*.

Most recently, he has been behind *Kees Flodder*, the reboot of one of the most iconic Dutch franchises, which quickly became the number-one title on Videoland.

He’ll join us to talk about his career, his work as a writer, producer and director, and the challenge of bringing new life to a well-known Dutch classic.
