Africa In The Picture (AITP) is a unique festival based in the vibrant capitol of the Netherlands, Amsterdam. AITP is a platform to discover and empower filmmaking and Art-making talent - both aspirant and established- in Africa and the Diaspora, to share their unique stories with the world.

AITP nurtures her storytellers and raconteurs and invites them to inspire, challenge and educate the public with their experiences and perspectives. We believe in the depth and power of art as an essential contribution to the well being of people.

With culture, community, education, and entertainment at its foundation, AITP is an all-encompassing festival that serves as an axis in Amsterdam for film and performing Art In the contemporary space of Europe and beyond.

We attract viewers from around the world who can expect to be moved by the strength and depth of AITP’s festival.

At AITP we believe that we can compile and diversify the assets that culture can offer. As we say:

Therefore the festival wants to contribute to the growth of the African film and, the art industry and empower its creators. The film and performing art showcases should benefit the well-being of the African communities, its diaspora and both sources of origins in and outside the continent. As well as for Europe, Asia, North and South America.

AITP is much more than just a celebration of diverse cultures. It wants significant influence. The festival welcomes every human being to participate in the discussion about building a new future for the world during the present in where we redefine the presentation of the mother continent and her role at the world stage.

It is about time that we satisfy this universal thirst and hunger for a narrative that includes all of us. We are part of the cultural ecosystem, the succulence of the fruits.
