The IISA World Cup Series 2026/2027 points system is here.
Swimmers earn points based on where they finish in each distance - from 1000m down to 50m.
The longer the distance, the higher the points available.
First place in the 1000m earns 100 points. First in the 50m earns 35.
Your best three events count towards your overall total. That means the more events you enter, the more chances you have to improve your ranking.
There's no limit on how many distances or events you can swim.
Two categories: Overall Male and Overall Female.
A few things to know:
→ The event can be held in a pool, open water, 25m or 50m if the event water temperature happens to be above 5.0°C and below 9.1°C a penalty system applies.
→ Each distance requires a minimum of 3 male and 3 female swimmers to count for points.
→ There should be at least 40 entries at the event.
→ Ties are broken by most 1st places, then 2nd, then 3rd. If it's still level, winners share the position.
Five events this season across five countries, building to the 7th IISA World Championships in Oradea, Romania.
