🧡𝙋𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙝 is screening one more time at tomorrow at 19:00 before it travels to on June 13!

🎬We talked to director back in April about her sharp and fearless debut and this film is one you definitely can’t miss!

🤳🏽Maitri, a young aspiring travel blogger, lives with her mother in a tight-knit Indian apartment block. Hoping to capture some content, she tags along on a temple visit during the Navratri festival with her mother and their neighbours, including their landlord Rajesh. When Rajesh gropes Maitri on the bus to the temple, she is left shocked and isolated. As she confides in her mother and other elders, she must grapple with deeply embedded social structures of shame and denial. Her daring search for retribution becomes a story of resistance, leading her community to reckon with what values they truly seek to uphold.

🎥Director-actress Uttera Singh’s directorial debut is a sharp, darkly comedic critique of patriarchal values and societal shame. Its rhythmic editing, vibrant cinematography, and Singh’s compelling lead performance bring to life an empowering portrait of one woman’s revolution to reclaim her agency and her voice.

🌊After several years in Taiwan, Ah Yao returns to Malaysia for his father’s funeral, expecting a quiet Taoist ceremony. Things take an unexpected turn when religious authorities intervene, claiming his father—who secretly converted to Islam—must be buried in an Islamic cemetery. Determined to honour their ancestral traditions, Ah Yao and his siblings embark on a darkly comical and unpredictable quest to reclaim the body, unearthing family secrets, cultural tensions, and a series of absurd challenges.

🎥Delicately weaving past and present, 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙒𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙮 𝙐𝙨 traces a diasporic history that begins with migration from China generations earlier and culminates in settlement and family life in Malaysia. The film opens an urgent conversation about systemic discrimination and citizenship, questioning whether displays of patriotism and assimilation truly matter, or whether it is how families hold together that ultimately defines belonging. With warmth and wit, this family tale reflects on the meaning of home, belonging, and migration.

𝘼𝙢𝙤𝙚𝙗𝙖 will be travelling to Den Haag (15 & 20 May) and Rotterdam (30 May) for our ON TOUR edition! You definitely don’t want to miss this beautiful coming-of-age drama!

✨Choo, a school dropout, has recently been transferred to an elite, authoritarian all-girls high school in Singapore. Her rebellious attitude instantly bonds her with 3 other misfits in her class—Vanessa, Sofia, and Gina. Together, they secretly form a gang, inspired by stories about the triad gangs that ruled the streets of colonial Singapore and defied the authorities openly. The girls become inseparable to each other, but as graduation approaches and the question of life after school looms, cracks begin to form.

🎬Tan Siyou makes her feature debut with 𝘼𝙢𝙤𝙚𝙗𝙖—an organism that stands in for a self disconnected from the world around them, surviving by retreating into isolation. At the same time, the film is a striking, humorous coming-of-age film that speaks to those unforgettable friendships formed out of rebelling from the norm; especially in an environment where every action is scrutinised, every gesture of friendship could be an act of defiance.
