🌿 Wild, eetbaar en geneeskrachtig, planten hebben ons veel te leren. Tijdens het Re_Nature Festival op 2 en 3 mei nodigen we je uit om naar buiten te gaan en de levende wereld van dichtbij te bekijken. 🌿

🌸5 planten en bloemen activiteiten om aan deel te nemen tijdens het festival 🌸
🌱Wildplukken - Rens Spanjaard (ZA & ZO)
Planten leven vaak onopgemerkt om ons heen. Hoe kunnen we ons meer openstellen voor planten? Rens neemt ons mee in het leven van planten door middel van een aantal observatieoefeningen om contact te maken met de plant en zijn omgeving; zelf kijken, ruiken, proeven en ervaren.

🍵 Japanse Theeceremonie - Haruka Matsuo (ZO)
Ga met ons mee op een serene reis naar de verfijnde wereld van de Japanse Sencha-theeceremonie, diep geworteld in traditie en mindful aanwezigheid.Deze ceremonie weerspiegelt de filosofie van het delen van kostbare momenten door middel van thee, waarbij warmte, zorgzaamheid en wederzijds respect worden bevorderd.

🌺 Wildpluk wandeling - The Way with Nature (ZA)
Tijdens de wildplukwandeling ontdek je de overvloed die de natuur te bieden heeft. Het is meer dan alleen een wandeling over het veld, het is een ervaring waarin je leert welke wilde planten en vruchten eetbaar zijn en hoe je ze kunt gebruiken in je dagelijkse maaltijden. Je zult verrast zijn hoeveel lekkers er gewoon voor het oprapen ligt!

🌷Aqua de Florida - Iskra Bela (ZA)
Aqua de Florida or Flower Water Mist is made from flowers and seeds, with an intention to purify, bless or serve as an offering to spirits in a ceremonial (magic) practice. During this workshop you will learn how to make your own Aqua de Florida from Ruigoord-grown flowers! This workshop includes a ritual to tune in with the land of Ruigoord, with our community and our individual intentions.

🌿Wildpluk wandeling - Annie’s Groene Vingers (ZA & ZO)
We beginnen bij de Heilige Ginkgo Biloba – de boom van duizend legendes en miljoenen waaiervormige bladeren, die in de herfst goud oplicht. Vanaf daar trekken we door de velden van Ruigoord. We struinen, plukken en proeven, en… luisteren naar wat de planten ons toe fluisteren.

Join us and uncover the mystery of wild bees; an expedition focusing on the natural environment, wild bees and food.
Learning is only truly fun when you get to actively explore, think and participate. That’s why we’ve developed an unforgettable journey of discovery: The Mystery of Wild Bees; an expedition focusing on the natural environment, wild bees and the food system.

🌱🐝Beekeeper: Harry Frauenfelder
Since 2025, beekeeper Harry Frauenfelder has had a bee colony at Ruigoord in Jessica Segall’s unique bee pavilion and artwork. During the Ruigoord Ontwaakt weekend, he will be there on both days to give continuous guided tours, showing and explaining visitors the work of a beekeeper.

🌼🐝Jessica Segall: Zzzzzzz
Zzzzzzz is an interactive sculpture and meditative experience: a custom-made architecture designed for both honeybees and humans to be(e) together. People can relax inside whilst listening to the sounds of active bees beneath the benches, or enjoy the peace and quiet at night when both humans and honeybees are asleep.

Lie down, and let yourself be carried by mixed soundscapes and -spheres, a ceremonial closure of the festival and inviting us into fall. A listening and deepening journey into stillness.

🌀 Equinox Ceremony by the Ruigoord community

With drums and fire, this ceremony marks the turning point of the season, and is followed by a festive harvest dinner.

🐝 RE_NATURE Festival is buzzzing with bee wisdom! 🐝

🐝 Come and hum along with the hive, move with the swarm — feel the world differently

💚 During the festival many of our activities work with the bees — learning from them, not only as pollinators, but also as our wise collaborators, natural healers, ecological teachers, and ancestral kin. 

🌿 Join the hum of the hive in ’s Beeingness pavilion, a meditative co-habitation sculpture where humans and honeybees share space, inviting a quiet moment of connection across species.

🐝 Journey with the Hommelexpeditie, guided by the Bijenkoningin, and explore the lives and habitats of native wild bees.

🌻 Listen to Sonne Copijn, founder of the , as she shares ancestral beekeeping knowledge and speaks for bee rights and ecological kinship. 

💤 Feel the inner rhythms of the hive through (Be)etogether by Maria Castellanos () & Alberto Valverde, a sensory interface that translates bee activity into perceptual experience. 

🍯 Meet the new honey character in ’s speculative world and take part in the Council of Foods, where more-than-human voices join the table.

🕯️Check out ’ land art work, where he uses beeswax to carry and transfer the knowledge about which native plants can cleanse and restore polluted landscapes.

🌿 Wilderness — to rewild, both nature and ourselves is essential for our survival. Can we reconnect to (our) nature? Cherish, nurture, take care of her? How can we move from ideas of ownership and greed towards reciprocal care and sharing?

🎭 Absurd, tender, and defiant, ‘Wilderness Cabaret’ by is a living, ungovernable performance where theatre, music, and poetry collide. This is not a static show, but a constantly evolving performance, shaped by every moment and every presence in the room.

⚡ Reach out to your inner wilderness and shape the story as it unfolds. Be a wild witness, accomplice, challenger as the line between stage and audience, reality and fiction, begins to blur.

The performance and international residency is a continuation of what started at Ruigoord and RE_NATURE in 2024.
