Today, we had our Old Amsterdam tour, exploring the history of Jehovah’s Witnesses, with a private tour for two sisters from California near L.A. and Hollywood. They’re part of an Indonesian congregation there, and we had such a fun tour together, with lots of laughter! It was also great that both of them have Dutch roots, and we discussed some of their family connections to the Netherlands. What amazing, dear brothers and sisters we have worldwide! Today, we had the privilege of leading a private tour through the Rijksmuseum for one of our dear sisters visiting from Montreal, who is here for study. We enjoyed a wonderful Bible tour through the museum. And thank you for the delicious homemade cookies!!!

Today, we did the Old Amsterdam and History of Jehovah’s Witnesses walking tour! It lasted about three hours, and we had brothers and sisters from the Achterhoek, Apeldoorn, and even all the way from Spain. It was a fun, mixed group, and we had such a lovely time together. the international convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses with the theme “Always Rejoice,” taking place at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht from August 14 to 16, 2026. Everyone is welcome, admission is free, and no collections are taken.

What can you expect?
The program includes:

* Talks
* Videos
* Music
* Interviews
* Reenacted experiences

The focus is on the teachings of Jesus, including the Sermon on the Mount and lessons on true happiness. Episodes 4 through 6 of the video series “The Good News According to Jesus” will also be shown.

Visitors and Languages:

* About 30,000 attendees from all over the Netherlands are expected.
* Around 6,000 international guests from over 20 countries will attend.
* The program will be simultaneously available in Dutch, English, and Papiamentu.

* Friday, August 14: 9:20 AM – 3:40 PM
* Saturday, August 15: 9:20 AM – 4:40 PM
* Sunday, August 16: 9:20 AM – 3:50 PM

Van vrijdag 14 tot en met zondag 16 augustus is er in De Jaarbeurs in Utrecht een internationaal congres van Jehovah’s Getuigen. Het thema is ‘Voor altijd gelukkig’. Iedereen is welkom. De toegang is gratis en er worden geen collectes gehouden.

Wat kun je verwachten?
Het programma bestaat onder meer uit:

Lezingen
Muziek
Interviews
Nagespeelde ervaringen
Op dit congres staan de levenslessen van Jezus centraal. Bijvoorbeeld zijn wereldberoemde Bergrede en wat hij zei over gelukkig zijn. Tijdens dit congres worden drie nieuwe afleveringen vertoond van de filmserie ‘Het goede nieuws volgens Jezus’.

Gasten uit meer dan 20 landen
Het internationale congres in Utrecht is een bijzonder kleurrijk evenement:

Er komen 6.000 gasten uit meer dan 20 landen.
Uit heel Nederland worden ongeveer 30.000 bezoekers verwacht.
Jehovah’s Getuigen nodigen deze zomer iedereen uit om dit congres te bezoeken.

Today I had another Bible-themed tour at the Rijksmuseum, and it was such a joy! We had brothers and sisters from the United States, and the group was absolutely delightful. It’s always a pleasure guiding people! Our next tour will be on Tuesday, May 19, around 2 p.m. If you’re in Amsterdam and can join, we’d absolutely love to have you along! Today, I had another tour in the Rijksmuseum with a lovely group of brothers and sisters from Breda. It was such a pleasant, and interesting group! It’s always fun when curious passersby join in, like the gentleman you see in the photo—he really enjoyed walking along and even read along with the Bible points. What a wonderful afternoon it was! Would you like to join sometime as well? Our next tours are on May 11th and May 19th and can be held in both English and Dutch!

Today we did “the Old Amsterdam Tour and the History of Jehovah’s Witnesses “with these four dear people—including our circuit overseer, his wife, his assistant, and his wife—who are visiting this week. They all had such a wonderful time on the tour, and the atmosphere was truly delightful. It was absolutely fantastic to take such hardworking couples along on a beautiful journey through the history of the city and of Jehovah’s Witnesses!
