ABOUT UTAFF
Uyo International Theatre and Film Festival (UTAFF) is primarily conceived as an annual forum for the amplification of the symbiosis of African Theatre and film. The festival is designated to draw global attention to, and propagate developmental structures for the indigenous performance culture-with special stress on Nollywood.
As a leading “theatre film” festival in Nigeria, UTAFF will continue to exist as a premier site for increasing professional interactions that border on live performance and media art. We are hosting a wide variety of conferences, workshops and allied resource development initiatives. The festival offers an engaging but pragmatic interface that guarantees robust showcase and industry market for both aspiring practitioners and the veterans in the creative sector.
Christened after the Metropolitan City of Uyo in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, the Festival will definitely illuminate the creative and social space of the city.
