Vintage Queen Nigeria Successfully Concludes Project Smile 5.0 – Pad the Girl Child Initiative, From the Office of QUEEN PEACE KPOONI
2nd Runner _Up Vintage Queen Nigeria, Reaches Over 250 Girls with Menstrual Health Support
Rivers State, Nigeria – Vintage Queen Nigeria has successfully concluded Project Smile 5.0 – Pad the Girl Child Initiative, a life-changing outreach designed to combat period poverty, promote menstrual hygiene, and restore confidence among adolescent girls through education and the distribution of essential menstrual care materials.
Held under the theme "My Period, My Health, My Confidence," the initiative brought together students, teachers, and stakeholders in an atmosphere of learning, empowerment, and compassion. During the outreach, over 250 sanitary pads were distributed free of charge to every girl present, alongside educational materials aimed at improving menstrual hygiene knowledge and encouraging healthy reproductive health practices.
A comprehensive public lecture on menstruation and menstrual hygiene management was also delivered, helping to dispel myths, answer pressing questions, and reassure the girls that menstruation is a natural and healthy part of growing into womanhood.
Vintage Queen Nigeria expresses its profound appreciation to the Principal, management, teachers, and students of Government secondary school, Kpor in Gokana LGA Rivers State for their warm reception, cooperation, and commitment to the success of the project. Your openness and support created the enabling environment needed to impact hundreds of young girls, and for this, we remain deeply grateful.
We also extend heartfelt appreciation to our volunteers, supporters, and everyone who contributed their time, resources, and expertise towards making this outreach a remarkable success. Every sanitary pad distributed, every lesson shared, and every smile restored represents a collective effort toward building healthier and more confident young women.
