THE FRUITS OF HOLY SPIRIT PT 5.

WHO IS THE SOURCE OF THE FRUITS.

The source of the fruits of the spirit is God.
Hosea 14:8 Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found.

We can not bear these fruits on our own efforts. We need the help of Jesus.

John 15:4-7 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

The saints abounds with fruits as he is rooted and grounded in Christ.

Ephesians 3:17-20 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

THE FRUIT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT PT 5.

HOW CAN I KNOW IF AM SPIRIT FILLED.

The type of the fruits you bear will tell wether or not you are spirit filled.

Matthew 12:33-35 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

Numbers 13:26-27 And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land.
And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.

The spies showed the fruit of Canaan to prove that it was a good land.

Matthew 7:16-24 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

THE FRUITS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT PT. 5

HOW CAN I BEAR THESE FRUITS?

We can only bear these fruits if we are dead to the world of sin and the world of sin is dead in us.
John 12:24-26 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

If you are not dead to the world of sin, we merely bring forth the works of the flesh or fruits of the flesh or fruits of sin or fruits of the devil.

Many are fruitless because they have not been crucified or have not crucify their flesh by putting it under deep control of God. So, they continue to abide alone and not receiving inspiration, revelations and power from God.
It is only the new life in Jesus Christ that is capable of bringing forth fruits to the glory and plans of God. Only the Holy Spirit filled can bear the fruits of the Spirit.

THE FRUITS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT PT.4

IS IT NECESSARY TO BEAR THE FRUITS?

John 15:1-4 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

Luke 13:6-9 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

The only reason for our existence here, after conversion, is to bear fruits of the Holy Spirit. The fruitless can not for long enjoy the privilege of the fruitful.
Fruitless ness and favour with God can not live together. Our God is waiting for true fruits from us.
James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

WHAT IS THE FRUIT CONTD.?

4. Long-suffering
Romans 5:3-5 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

5. Gentleness.
Kindness and a cool temper.
2 Corinthians 10:1-5 Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:
But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

6. Goodness.
This grace make christians to be of good works..

7.Faith.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

8. Meekness.
Do not repay evil with evil

9. Temperance.
Self control as evidenced by moderation in everything.
Philippians 4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

THE FRUIT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT PT.2

WHAT IS THE FRUIT?

Galatians 5:22-25 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

These are aggregated fruits like pineapple that has many fruits in one fruit. The fruits combine to work righteousness, faith, holiness and redemption in the life of a believer.

1. Love.
1 John 4:16-21 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
We love him, because he first loved us.
If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

2. Joy
Not happiness as we have it in the world but deep rooted gladness.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

3. PEACE.
Peace of God that completely satisfies.
Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

THE FRUIT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. PT. 1

INTRODUCTION.
The fruit of the HOLY SPIRIT is the hardcore of his dwellings in us and our yielding to him.

Work of the flesh are in sharp contrast from the fruit of the spirit and it's workings.
Work of the flesh will work against HOLY SPIRIT.
The work of the flesh is the old man in us. The fruit of to the spirit testifies to the new man in us.
The fruit of the spirit is the result of HOLY SPIRIT acting through the new creation that a believer becomes after being born again.

THE FRUIT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

TEXT. Galatians 5: 13-26

Galatians 5:13-26 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
