Instagram gave many of us a seat at the table.
It gave some visibility.
It gave others opportunities.
It gave many talented people a platform to showcase their work.
And that is amazing!

But I keep wondering…
Are we building businesses that can go beyond the platform?
Because there is a whole world of business outside Instagram.

The systems, The relationships, The strategy, The negotiations, The partnerships, The structures.

Sometimes the money is not missing because you are not talented.
Sometimes it is sitting on the table because nobody taught you how to build beyond the visibility.

That is the conversation that is brewing!

A big thank you to Jennifer Allen- The Wedding Auntie for putting slide 3 so beautifully.

We love a good event. We host events too. But one thing we’ve learnt is to stay within our means.

And honestly, this camera some people are setting up to talk about event professionals is now giving the rest of us a lot of work to do. 😅

Because not everything you see is “flex.” Sometimes, you’re simply looking at the cost of expertise, preparation, logistics, responsibility and ex*****on

You don’t have to afford every service.
You don’t have to hire every professional.

But not being able to afford something doesn’t automatically make it overpriced.

That distinction matters, especially as we continue building a healthier event industry.
