Yesterday , I attended Ajaks Tutorials’ prize-giving ceremony, as a follow up coach, and although it was mainly organized for students who wrote JAMB, I left with lessons that challenged my mindset as an undergraduate.
The speakers shared powerful insights about life, education, and success. One statement that struck me deeply was: “The education you have only helps you overcome illiteracy.” That really got me thinking. There is so much more to learning than just getting a degree.
Another lesson that resonated with me was, “Success is rarely a straight line.” Challenges, setbacks, and delays are all part of the journey. Ajaks also said, “Persistence separates achievers from dreamers,” and that hit home. Dreams alone are not enough; consistent effort and determination make the difference.
Today’s event felt like an awakening. It reminded me that I need to be more intentional, focused, and serious about my goals. I’m grateful for the experience and the valuable lessons I gained. Growth begins when your mindset changes.
